EA Sports WRC is the first of its kind and although the result is bittersweet, it has solid foundations that could take the franchise to a better level. The legacy of Colin McRae's installments is there, Codemasters was a guardian of it for 2 decades and, of course, there is a vote of confidence for what they will do in future editions. Unfortunately, this debut is not what was expected and amounts to a bump in the road after a period of good results in their racing game launches. EA Sports WRC isn't unplayable, nor is it a disaster, but it's far from great, although there is room for improvement with the passage of time and updates, so perhaps you could consider it for later.

NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS feels like an unambitious game that focuses on improving its predecessor and introducing a few changes. While the combat system can be chaotic and confusing, it offerts a lot of fun. The overall product serves as a worthy celebration of the legacy of anime's most famous ninja

Persona 5 Tactica is a spin-off that delivers without more. It's entertaining and fans of Persona 5 will be happy to spend a few more hours with the Phantom Thieves. Unfortunately, it lacks the impact needed to be one of those side projects that become an arm of the main franchise. Nor does it carry enough weight to become one of the best games of its genre. It is simply an entertaining title and little more.

ArtePiazza understood what elements needed to be improved to deliver a remake that went beyond better graphics. This is Super Mario RPG for a new era and a new audience, with improvements that bring it closer to modern standards. It's hard to say that the remake will replace the gem that is the original, but it's another jewel that deserves to sit alongside it.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is a game that arrives more as a luxury than a necessity. Just when it seemed that Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and SEGA had completely handed over the baton to Ichiban Kasuga, they pampered us with an installment that pays tribute to everything that made the series great and treats Kazuma Kiryu and the legacy he has within his universe as well as in the real world with immense respect. Yes, we'll see Kiryu again in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, but he may never star in another installment. If so, it would be a phenomenal goodbye for the Dojima Dragon. Thank you for everything, Kiryu.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R is the best example of how a game can become a jewel after being forgotten for years. A remake full of changes and improvements that surprises by adapting a niche JRPG and transforming it into a modern classic.

Just Dance 2024 Edition presents the best of the saga, but with some new features that will resonate very well with the community. It adds 40 new songs from various genres and promises more updates, so it has undoubtedly become a good option to try with family and friends. Sadly, if you want to play online you will have to be very patient.

WarioWare: Move It! is exactly what you'd expect from this franchise: fast microgames with a lot of charisma, humor and fun. The use of the Joy Con is very creative, but in general, the game doesn't do much to innovate.

Dave the Diver is an unique experience that constantly throws something interesting and fun, even when you are 30-40 hours into the adventure. Is a game that made us smile from the moment it begins until the end, and the diversity of the gameplay is fantastic and fascinating.

We have spent more than a decade without a classic-style Mario Bros. that truly made us feel magic, that reminded us why the plumber is the king of platformers. Fortunately, the wait for these sensations is over and Super Mario Wonder arrives as one of the best games of the year and as one of the most magical installments of the entire franchise.

Lords of the Fallen is an intriguing soulslike proposition that draws inspiration from well-known franchises in the genre. It offers 2 interesting worlds to explore simultaneously, characters with different styles to choose from, a cooperative mode that enriches the adventure, and a vast catalog of weapons. However, the game still has some technical flaws, and that could be the trigger to abandon it at any time.

This review and its respective rating have nothing to do with the video games found in this collection. Those already have their place in history and some are enshrined among the best video games ever created. From this perspective, Konami didn't deliver garbage, but it also didn't exploit the potential and opportunity there was to deliver a high-quality homage to its once-star franchise. However, the essence of Metal Gear remains intact and its high points are good enough to consider it in your library, maybe not today, but at some point.

Even though Ghostrunner 2 only expands and improves the ideas of the original game, its parkour and combat systems remain highly enjoyable. It's a very fun and challenging experience that will excite fans of challenging games and adrenaline, even though it's not perfect.

The 7th Guest VR pays a fair and fitting tribute to a classic from a bygone era in the history of video games. The most delightful aspect of the package is the story, which has remained largely intact, with standout performances from its charismatic cast and well-chosen costumes. While it may not be a groundbreaking title in the realm of virtual reality design, it is an intellectual journey that challenges with satisfying logic puzzles.

Wizard with a Gun is great with a friend and even alone; it combines perfectly the combat of a roguelite and the exploration and administration of a strategy game, but sometimes it's so ambitious that it's kind of a mess.

Today, my cousin is gone. But thanks to that charisma, that constant innovation, that seal of quality, that parental control, that philosophy of continuous perfection, that magic of continuing to create games for the whole family, I can not only experience the same emotion that 'Super Mario' transmitted to me more than 30 years ago, but now, I can repeat the experience, with joy, nostalgia and pride with my daughter.

Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle seems to be at the level of the first installment, although at times it suggests that it is falling behind. Unlike Daymare 1998, we are faced with a proposal that got caught up in its attempt to pay homage and its desire to do something original. Despite this, it can be a passable old-school horror game experience.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged is an entertaining game, but it has a long way to go before it can compete against the big names of the genre. It is evident that Milestone thought of it as a casual arcade racing game that you can enjoy in challenges with your friends to spend a time full of laughter and chaotic fun. Unfortunately, this good foundation suffers from a completely soulless and generic track design that you'll quickly forget.
