Castlevania Anniversary Collection is a great chance to get the classics of the genre and remember the old days. Castlevania III, IV and Bloodlines are fun to play even now. And the ability to record progress at any time is particularly useful in ruthless 8-bit games. It is a pity that there are no later projects like Symphony of the Night in the collection. However, it can be easy recommended to all fans of the series and genre of old school action-platformers.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the most fascinating tactical RPG with interesting battles and story, great world and charismatic characters. If you are not indifferent to the genre of role-playing games, this project should not be missed.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood is great action game with awesome graphics, decent set of weapons, huge bosses and good shooter mechanics. Levels have become wider and now there's even more nonlinearity, however the project suffers from a weak plot, repetitive random side-quests and character' level constraints. If you liked the previous games in the series or you are a fan of the genre, ready to put up with new problems, you can try. Especially since Youngblood is sold at a price twice lower than the usual release.

Layers of Fear 2 tries to be deeper and more complex than the original game, but in the end we have a completely bland chases, pixel-hunting and aimless walking on empty rooms. If you are looking for a new intellectual horror that will entice you for a few evenings, then from this project you should definitely stay away.

The Occupation is uneven experiment to create a nonlinear political thriller with unpleasant restrictions and not always clear motives of the main characters. Bugs, terrible interface, problems with choices in the second half of the game and annoying stealth mechanics cause disappointment.

Six months later, Vane got rid of critical errors, but did not become a good game. A dark story about the fall of civilization, sometimes nice puzzles, beautiful landscapes of the desert world and a powerful atmosphere can not pull boring gameplay, terrible controls, empty locations, indistinct ending and the lack of adequate navigation. And this is sad.

SolSeraph is not distinguished by beautiful graphics, great music and unique design solutions. Levels are too flat and boring and lose ActRaiser in everything. Fortunately, in the modern industry there is no shortage of high-quality platformers, and if you miss the simulators of God, then try the classic Black and White, and from this fake stay as far as possible.

F1 2019 is another good annual release of the series, designed to work out the license and please the most loyal fans. If you are one of them, you can safely buy this game. Beginners who want to try it, can also buy, as well as those who have not played games in the series for a long time. But if you joined to the series last year and are not a fan, the improved graphics and F2 championship will not particularly justify the purchase. In this case, it is easier to wait for the next sale-out.

Redeemer: Enhanced Edition leaves mixed impressions. The developers tried to create a simple and fun cooperative beat 'em up, but a lot of technical problems, poor animation and boring boss fights prevent to get real pleasure from the gameplay. It may well appeal to fans of the genre, who will close their eyes to the shortcomings, but all the others are unlikely to be interested.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is a great cooperative beat 'em up with a nice RPG-system, huge number of iconic Marvel characters, awesome cutscenes and interesting bosses, which lacks a more interesting story, some good AA-filtering and variety of situations in the second half of the game.

Blazing Chrome is a pleasant gift to the bored fans of the classic Contra with fun gameplay, well-balanced high difficulty and beautiful pixel styling. If you have already finished Cuphead and are waiting for something hardcore and interesting in the format of side-scrolling shooter, you can safely buy this project. The game will not disappoint you.

6 Eyes Studio under the supervision of 1C managed to create a project that will please the fans of tactical role-playing games. The developers carefully adapted the classic mechanics and added an interesting plot. Uneven graphics slightly spoils the experience, but interesting gameplay is able to captivate fans of the genre for a long time.

My Friend Pedro is an incredibly exciting, entertaining and fun project with stunning choreography of shootings, excellent style and good humor. Of course, I would like a little more length and plot, but the success of the original must give us a sequel. And it's going to be great.

If you missed Kingdom Come at launch, a Royal Edition will be the right purchase. This is a good chance to get acquainted with great game with all the additions, updates and an adequate price tag. If you already finished the game and want to return, you can buy a season pass. But note that only a story of Teresa is really interesting.

The Sinking City is a very raw and conceptually flawed product with awful shooting, mindless crafting and an unnecessary RPG-system. It is better to read the latest novel "Ghosts of the Depths" by Christian Robert Wind.

Amid Evil is a new generation of retro shooters with fast gameplay, memorable design, excellent pixel violence and great weapons. References to the Painkiller and Doom here look more organic than ever. Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn has proven to be an ambiguous port of one of Nintendo's best platformers on the aging 3DS. Technical limitations do not allow you to fully enjoy the graphic splendor and physics, and the lack of co-op can disappoint some fans. Mini-games with new characters and the ability to take the game with you a little smooth experience, so if you missed the Wii version and want to play on 3DS, you can try to catch up in a convenient portable format.

Devil May Cry for Nintendo Switch is a cult action game with great style, deep atmosphere and a fascinating adventure elements. Even after 18 years it is good to play. So it's really a shame that Capcom has not fixed all the problems with bugs and sell the game with a high price and without DMC 2 and DMC 3. Outdated PS2-graphics in HD looks tolerable in portable format, built-in achievements is nice addition, but until the publisher does not reduce the cost at least twice, it is better to spend money on something else.
