Cities: Skylines II is a gripping experience and a perfect follow-up to the first game. Sadly, all of that is really dragged down by myriads of technical problems. For now, we can only hope that Colossal Order will fix most of the issue and gets the game to the state it deserves to be.

The Lamplighters League is a hard sell. The technical state of the game is abysmal, and while there are many of ideas taken from across the wide genre, there is really not a lot of things The Lamplighters League can truly call their own.

Some would say that the modding scene will solve the game's most glaring problems, and that may be true. But it's still worth noting how many problems there are, and how lots of them managed to escape Bethesda's attention. We'll hope that game will have extensive content support in the future, as was promised by the dev team.

Ad Infinitum can easily give you a sense of discomfort and suspense, even if you're far removed from the genre as a whole.

The relationships between the remake of Resident Evil 4 and the original game would be a subject of much heated discussions in the coming years. But if anything could be said about this new version of Separate Ways is that it's a major step up from its 2005 counterpart in pretty much every way.

Atlas Fallen is a great example of a game with an interesting premise and a weak execution. Fun sand-sliding and some plot points are probably the only things that would hold your attention up until the end credits.

Lies of P suffers from a slow start with boring levels and uninspired enemies. Thankfully, later down the line game gives you much more interesting things to play with, including different weapons, unique gameplay systems and so on, turning itself into a pretty good addition to the genre.

Goodbye Volcano High is a cute looking game about modern western teenagers with some fun characters and memorable indie music.

Fort Solis is a beautiful, yet very boring game with a stellar cast and walking simulator-like gameplay.

Blasphemous 2 is a safe and competently-made sequel with a cool looking visual style, aimed at any fans of good metroidvanias. Just be sure to play it in short bursts, otherwise you'll risk burning yourself out with overall simplicity and all too familiar tropes of the genre as a whole.

Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew can't offer anything new to the classic gameplay style of Commandos/Desperados, but thanks to a nice setting the game still feels quite fresh, which is more than enough.

Annihilation Instinct leaves behind the not-so-great open world elements from from the main campaign. And the yet the DLC don't really fix any of the other shortcoming the game had.

It's quite hard to recommend Decarnation, because the game itself is rather bleak, depressing and melancholy-inducing. But then again - that's the whole point.

It's hard to recommend Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons to anyone but the the most hardcore fans of the series. Everyone else should probably give this one a pass.

The Bookwalker: Thief of Tales feels like a nice little adventure that can hold your attention for a couple of great hours, and yet the astonishingly bad console versions make little to no reason to even touch this game.

GYLT is a case of a great concept that was let-down by weak implementation of the combat system, overall repetitiveness, and way too big of a focus on a younger audience.

Aliens: Dark Descent is an intense tactical game with a thick atmosphere of horror and fierce battles, which in its best moments gives an unforgettable experience. But it's obvious that Tindalos Interactive didn't have enough time and money to realize all their ideas.

The team at Creative Business Unit III has found their spark, and managed to use it to turn Final Fantasy XVI into unyielding flame. One that shines more than many others.

Even though the old guard of Blizzard Entertainment is no more, the team under Rod Fergusson's leadership managed to create something everyone was hoping for - a true successor to the legendary Diablo II.

Miasma Chronicles is a step up from the poor Corruption 2029. The game can offer you an interesting setting and characters with some cool tactical systems, but at the same time there is straight up broken gameplay elements and lots of bugs, at least on the console versions.
