Detroit: Become Human is a stellar example of storytelling in the video game space. What initially seems like a futuristic science-fiction story quickly steers into a very real struggle of freedom vs. oppression which has been endured throughout history. With just one single playthrough, Detroit: Become Human will warm your heart, provoke your thoughts, and light a fire in your stomach.

5 / 10 - Watch Me Jump
May 25, 2018

Watch Me Jump has got an interesting story, but it may be better suited as a stage play than a video game. Its brief length and rough presentation both hold the game back, which is unfortunate with a tale as solid as this one.

4 / 10 - Fatal Stormer
May 24, 2018

Fatal Stormer doesn't do enough to stand out from the throngs of other shmups on the Steam marketplace today. Though the customization features are welcome, the core gameplay gets repetitive far too fast.

Space Hulk: Death Wing Enhanced Edition is a very basic shooter. While the single player campaign felt lacking throughout, the rewarding progressive components added to the multiplayer aspect of the game delivers a worthwhile experience – if you have Brothers willing to follow you into battle.

Absolutely no effort went into Steel Arena: Robot War. Everything here feels like it was made with stock assets, making it feel more like a school project than a quality title.

Super Knockoff! VS feels phoned-in. It's lack of options, questionable level design, and lack of single player or multiplayer modes make it a hard sell for multiplayer gaming fanatics.

State of Decay 2 is going to be very hit and miss for a number of people. If you can ignore the flaws, there is a fun game to be had when played with a friend. That said, even if you ignore its flaws, you can't deny that this game was not ready for release.

Light Fantastik has got an interesting premise, but the tweaks made to the platforming formula ultimately take away from the game. Those that can stomach its trial and error gameplay and odd quirks may enjoy what is present here, but the less patient among us are better off skipping this one.

1 / 10 - NickProject
May 10, 2018

There's not much to NickProject. The lack of effort that went into everything from the gameplay to the graphics is blatantly apparent, making it an easy pass for even the most diehard fan of top-down shooters.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is not for everyone. The web of intertwining features and mechanics are as deep as they are complicated, but for those looking for more from their RPGs – more character, more wonder, more life – Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is a fantastic homage to the true roots of the RPG genre.

4 / 10 - Voxel Baller
May 7, 2018

Voxel Baller may offer a new perspective in the brick-breaking genre, but it does not do enough to stand out. The generic look, awkward play field, and lack of mouse support means that only the most diehard of fans should give this one a go.

Temple of Spikes' bite-sized format makes it easy to pick up and play. It's slippery controls take some getting used to, but it's challenge will draw in tomb raiders from all walks of life.

So Long Grandma is a broken game with an absolutely horrible premise. This is yet another ironic Steam game that decides to push the envelope in lieu of good gameplay or any semblance of taste.

The Swords of Ditto is a charming rogue-lite with a robust challenge. Fans of top-down action-adventure games won't be disappointed.

Super Inefficient Golf lives as dies by its mine gimmick, but it is still a fun gimmick nonetheless. Those looking for a way to spice up their golf game can do far worse than this title, but don't be surprised if it takes a while to get the hang of it.

4 / 10 - Toon War
Apr 26, 2018

Toon War could have used a lot of balance. What could have been a mindless, ordinary shooter becomes a lot more frustrating with its broken leveling system. Those looking for a solid twin-stick shooter should check out titles like Nex Machina instead.

10 / 10 - God of War
Apr 24, 2018

Every facet of God of War has been created as a labor of love. Seldom do we see such a complete, whole experience in modern gaming. God of War is nothing short of a modern day masterpiece.

Way of the Passive Fist has got an interesting hook (or would it be parry?), but its tedious nature drags things on for far too long. Best in small doses, its desolate world desperately needs a dash of the ol' ultraviolence.

Those weaned on a diet of Adult Swim and Gainax will find much to love in SUPER BENBO QUEST: TURBO DELUXE. The anime girl heroine might not have the best moveset for the job, but the avant-garde stylings and off-the-wall humor boldly stand out amidst the sea of platformers on the Steam marketplace.

3 / 10 - Duder
Apr 16, 2018

Duder is a shameless rip-off of the Slender Man series. Though this title is a short one, the hunt for the seven truths drags on for far too long.
