GamePro's Reviews
Even in its current state, Crimson Desert has the potential to become my game of the year. If the console performance is still good and the day-one patch perhaps even fixes a few annoying issues, the action-adventure could even climb a small step higher in my ranking.

It was a long road to get there, though, and I can totally understand if that puts many shooter fans off. I hope enough people give the game a chance and overcome the initial hurdles – for me, it was definitely worth it, and I won't be putting Marathon down anytime soon.

For me, Monster Hunter Stories 3 is definitely one of my GOTY games of 2026 so far. It's the perfect mix of monster collecting, turn-based combat, and a beautifully interconnected world with extensive areas – all wrapped up in a really good story about the conflict between two kingdoms (a nod to Fire Emblem!) and the threat to the entire ecosystem.

The review of Metroid Prime 4 shows that the mix of sci-fi shooting and environmental puzzles still works well – but also that many things went wrong during the long development phase.

Whether you're interested in it is, of course, entirely up to you. For me, the Black Ops 7 campaign ultimately falls somewhere between the story modes of the last two years. Significantly better than Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, but also considerably below Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

The Outer Worlds 2 is overall a good role-playing game, particularly notable for its many choices and options for forging your own path through the absurd sci-fi world. Additionally, there are gameplay improvements that make the sequel more enjoyable, offer more content—and look a bit better.

Ninja Gaiden 4 turns out to be the action spectacle we hoped for in our review. Beyond the fights, however, not everything is at its best.

The rather mediocre story and outdated graphics don't detract from this – but I'm still not really keen on the latter on the Switch 2. If the next installment is a Switch 2 exclusive, something will have to change there at the very latest.

As much fun as I've had with the multiplayer so far, I haven't had much fun with the campaign. I'm aware that they have even less weight in Battlefield than in, say, Call of Duty. But that's no excuse for what was delivered there.

If you already enjoyed the previous games, you'll have no problem picking them up thanks to the flawless technology. However, don't expect a game that breaks new ground with the story or even ventures into the creative gameplay territory of a Split Fiction.

Something about Silent Hill f just gets under my skin and won't let me go. As soon as I put the pad down, I'm singing the magnificently spooky title song again, wanting to immerse myself in the fog once more.

The story won't win any awards, but thanks to well-rounded supporting characters and interesting missions, it makes the most of the revenge plot. The game world is smaller again, but offers plenty of variety with urban and rural areas. The nights feel truly dangerous again, even without a timer breathing down your neck.
