If you're not into shmups, or you're curious about the genre, you're going to find things you're going to like at CYGNI. Its gameplay is addictive, its staging impeccable (despite the occasional slowdowns) and if you're going to get stung by the rankings and scores, here you have to be hooked for a long time, despite being a "short" game.

Eden Genesis proposes us to become no-hitter speedrunners, but the controls are not as precise and satisfying at the controls that a game of these characteristics demands. Even so, lovers of great challenges and of trying a thousand times until they reach perfection have a new well of hours here.

Games as special as this one continue to attract attention decades later. Some facets of control and exploration have aged regularly, but their charisma and depth are still appealing to this day, especially with all the extras Limited Run has incorporated.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter is not an essential remaster, but it is a work that manages to improve enough an action-packed classic adventure. The new controls and small improvements deliver, although on a visual level and in playable corrections a little more effort could have been put in.

An exercise in "more of the same" for those who want to continue soaring the skies with their na'vi and enjoy visually powerful moments. If you are looking for strong novelties, you will not be able to say "I see you" here.

Dungeons of Hinterberg successfully combines the exploration and "dungeon" of The Legend of Zelda saga with the social simulation of the Persona saga. All this with a captivating style that makes you want to take a plane and go live in the Alps. If you like adventures, you can't miss it.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn offers an action adventure clearly inspired by the virtues of modern God of War. Intermixing souls-lite with hack and slash manages to surprise slightly in some of its facets, but it does not reach the category of essential.

Nintendo World Championships NES Edition is a tribute to the great classics that marked a generation and a fun and refreshing experience to enjoy 13 iconic works under a new approach. By bringing the speedrun mode to a wider audience, Nintendo once again demonstrates its great development skills.

The narrative facet and its lack of ambition distance it from the best of the genre, but in the rest of the sections the gears of Gestalt: Steam & Cinder are perfectly placed and give rise to a metroidvania as solid as it is recommended.

Switch seems like an ideal console for a game of this type, with a very simple dynamic in its essence, but that gives us constant surprises. It's not very spectacular, but it's effective.

Capcom continues on a roll with a game full of personality, which can overwhelm a little at first but that catches you hopelessly with its very balanced mix of action, strategy and folklore. Don't miss out on trying it.

Darkest Dungeon 2 is a different bet from the first title, a game that allows itself to be cradled by the most mainstream roguelike while maintaining what made the first installment so unique and so difficult. Its proposal is very different and that is why the value of this sequel skyrockets.

Luigi's Mansion 2 HD may not be at the level of other remasters and remakes such as Metroid Prime Remastered or Paper Mario: The Millennium Gate, but even that does not stop it from remaining a timeless classic that is worth discovering if you did not play it on Nintendo 3DS... or revive, if you already did so.

Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition is a remaster that few asked for, but it offers good technical improvements, adds new content and brings us a little closer to Beyond Good & Evil 2. If you have never played it you should give it a try and if you did, it never hurts to enjoy it again if you are a fan of the saga.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble is a good step forward in the saga, with few but very successful changes: the Spin Dash move enriches the gameplay and its very flexible difficulty guarantees demonic challenges without anyone getting frustrated. Add in generally fun multiplayer modes and fun is guaranteed all summer long.

The Elder Scrolls Online Gold Road is a solid expansion, but not risky and less inspiring than High Isle or Necrom. The celebration for the 10th anniversary of the MMORPG could have been something different to surprise fans. However, the successes and new adventures are still present.

Terms like 'DLC' or even 'expansion' fall far short and are even insulting when used to talk about Shadow of the Erdtree. Because as you play, you realize that what FromSoftware has done is closer to being Elden Ring 1.5 than mere downloadable content. It seemed impossible, but they have been overcome again.

A horror adventure that knows how to get to the point and tell us its story in a convincing way. In terms of gameplay, it has nothing particularly memorable, but the tide of the narrative will sweep you away.

Monster Hunter Stories and Stories 2 are coming to new platforms to offer two great classic RPG adventures. The first game improves on a technical level, although it feels aged next to its sequel. There's not too much new content, but if you've never played... This is the best opportunity to do so.
