Although it lacks two key pieces to be the "definitive version", Persona 3 Reload modernizes a classic to the level of today's great RPGs and includes enough new features to tempt those who already knew it once again. The best of both worlds, as they say.

Palworld is an entertaining game if you connect with its survival and monster-catching mechanics, and its gameplay loop. But at the same time, it's easy to feel like it's not original, that it doesn't do anything you haven't seen before, and that it crosses some red lines by taking inspiration from certain games.

Tekken 8 offers a successful update to the formula of the franchise by showing a powerful performance and an array of game modes that satisfy both expert players and newcomers.

It may be the best episode of the series and that's saying a lot. An intense role-playing experience that leaves a mark, whether you're a Yakuza veteran or not.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy is a very good compilation of Ace Attorney games 4, 5, and 6 (also featuring Phoenix Wright), with improvements that weren't in the previous remastered trilogy. That said, all the games in the series are almost identical: to find out if you like them, try the first ones first and then finish the story with this one.

Without being a perfect compilation, Another Code: Recollection brings up to date two memorable adventures that fans of the genre in the strict sense of the word will like, those in which exploration and puzzles are the protagonists, although at times it almost seems more like a visual novel.

The great values of this remaster are the No Return mode, which highlights (even more) how brilliant its gameplay is, and all the light that the extras shed on the development of a work of this magnitude. The graphical upgrade is still a set-up for PS5, but for that upgrade price "I assure you I would do it again".

Prince of Persia returns in style with an exceptional adventure that excels in everything it sets out to do, that does everything so well that it's hard to find faults with it and that you never want to end. After many years missing, the Prince has returned, but he has returned as the king of action and platform games.

World of Horror isn't a game for all horror lovers, because of its 80s conversational adventure style. But if you connect with its formula, with its roguelite touches, its turn-based combats and its visuals, then get ready to have a great time. Too bad it doesn't squeeze out all the options that Nintendo Switch offers.

Cookie Cutter isn't just another metroidvania. Like so many others, he manages to find his place with ideas and his own aesthetic, which does not "contain itself" and lets its gore and hyperviolent touch flow, with a cheeky and punk humor. Too bad some aspects need a little polishing, because it's fun and catchy.

The Indigo disc is the highlight of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero: a quality expansion with lots of new features and content to stop a train. It's still struggling with technical issues and won't change your mind if you hate Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, but if you don't choke on the flaws, it can leave a great taste in your mouth.

A good roguelite that stands out for its action and premise, but that lags behind the greats of the genre. Still, if you like action and platform games and are looking for a new roguelite to get hooked on for hours on end... Look no further.

It's not the best fighting game of the year (the competition has been fierce), but it's a good bet for those who want a versatile and accessible show.

Echoes of the Fallen is a brief dose of "more Final Fantasy XVI." It doesn't do anything new and lasts a breath, but if you liked the main game here's an extra helping that will taste like glory.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince has a deep combat and monster breeding system that can become addictive if you're willing to overlook the very low quality of almost all of its sections: graphics, sound, story, level design, and development. Only recommended for those looking for a serious alternative to Pokémon.

It doesn't break the mold in its gameplay proposal, but Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is an amazing recreation of this cinematic universe, with gameplay and narrative moments that will impact you.

Arizona Sunshine 2 convinces with its mindless action, silly humor, and the relationship between Buddy and the protagonist. It may not innovate, it may have technical flaws and all its tricks have been seen before, but what it does, it does in a very entertaining way: it's almost impossible to get bored with it.

Born of Bread is a perfectly baked RPG that, thanks to its varied mechanics, manages to entertain and amuse you from start to finish. Even if it doesn't come to revolutionize the genre... Who can resist a good loaf of bread fresh from the oven?

Without doing anything new, Tevi is forceful in its proposal: a metroidvania with touches of role-playing, bullet hell and even a touch of "souslike" (it's difficult, but you can turn it into hell), which is difficult to resist once you've taken the bait.

Astlibra Review is a modern classic with a perfect balance between action and role-playing. It has several aspects that can be improved as a result of having been developed by a single person, but when you put everything in the balance, its virtues weigh much more than its defects. If you miss the RPGs of yesteryear, it's a must.
