Observer has excellent graphics, interesting gameplay and horror which plays with the gamer's fear and psychological through the memories found along the game. Although there are framerate issues in some moments of the game, it doesn't make Observer a game not to be played by the ones who love horror games and the cyberpunk universe.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a great spin-off of the Uncharted franchise, featuring Chloe and Nadine, who steal the scene and it turns out to be a great change for the series. With a good amount of exploration, cinematic action and a fun adventure, you will find all the elements that the franchise became known for in the 6 hours of campaign. It's the same formula, but it's a welcome game for the fans.

Sonic Mania has the essence of the classic Genesis games offering a variety of stages with new and nostalgic features. It is possible to see the passion of the developers in creating a game with what the fans wanted when it comes to graphics, soundtrack and above all the gameplay.

At this point, it sounds redundant to say that Housemarque has created another excellent Twin Stick shooter. Matterfall is fast, intense and really fun. Even if its limited content prevents it from becoming one of Housemarque's best, it is a must-have for fans of the genre.

Collar X Malice is a visual novel that doesn't fear making the player feel something, be it tension, fear, caring for the characters or the curiosity for the reasons and motivations behind their actions. It's a visual novel that holds the player's attentions the same way the best books do, motivating him to complete every route and know every detail of this incredible and captivating story. It's both an obligatory game for the fans of the genre and one of the best options for those who want to get to know it.

Eliosi's Hunt is the debut title of TDZ Games. Inspired by games such as Crash Bandicoot and Metal Slug, it mixes action and platforming in extremely challenging stages that will put the player's skills to the limit, being a rewarding experience. There's an interesting mechanic at checkpoints, in which players have to choose between saving their progress or receive a bonus on speed. It is a clever and tricky feature, with checkpoints placed on critical locations. The campaign tends to be short, but collectibles and other challenges give it a good replay value. It is a fair package given its small price and the good amount of challenge and fun provided.

Sine Mora EX is a very solid title, with its unique gameplay based on time instead of a health bar, bringing a great story to PS4, XBOX ONE, Switch and PC. Seven chapters with dozens of boss battles, and the chance of playing 15 challenges that will drive players to the limit of their ability to control the airship. It is a great title that deserves to be played by all players.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has an interesting plot, a good fighting mechanic and excellent graphics. The quality of the audio is out of this world. The problem is the combat variety (in the end, you'll be bored) and due to the focus on the narrative, many people may find the game monotonous. However, those who give a chance will find a good story.

Agents of Mayhem is an exaggerated, fun and challenging game. The combat is simple and frenetic, and the possibility to combine different agents with a variety of skills and styles makes the game fun to play. This also shows that Volition continues getting better without losing its sense of humor and characteristic style, nor the courage to make something new. The only problems are its technical issues and the small variety of missions.

Improving and expanding the universe established in the first season, The Enemy Within is a great start for the new Batman series, with a screenplay that explores every facet of the hero, delivering action, dialogue and drama in the right extent, refreshing for both Batman fans and those accompanying the Telltale games.

Graceful Explosion Machine is an extremely simple and straightforward game. And this is both good and bad, since its scenarios and weapons do not change over the course of their short journey. This turns the game into a casual experience or into something for lovers of the side-scrolling arcade shooter genre.

Theseus has some elements and characters from the greek myth 'Theseus and the Minotaur' in order to create its own narrative, adding philosophical reflections on the perpetual cycle of life and death, good and evil. It is an example that third-person games work well in virtual reality, albeit there's still room for improvements and refinements in order to avoid weird angles. The player should keep in mind that the focus here is on the narrative, with a small touch of exploration and a combat with basic mechanics. The game has colossal environments and the figure of the Minotaur is terrifying, making this experience, yet short, very positive.

Pyre is one of those games that gradually captivates you, and in the end leaves you dazzled by the quality of the experience that is offered. Like the incredible universe created by Supergiant, the game slowly opens its doors to great characters, sublime levels of production and creative and distinct gameplay. Pyre is definitely an example of creativity and love of its developers.

Flames of Rebellion has a very similar content when compared to Sins of an Empire. Yes, the story told is different and more enjoyable, but both are played in the same way and therefore carry the same flaws. The combat can be fun for a while, but it becomes repetitive due its lack of depth. The choices system also lacks development and fails to immerse the player in the universe of Fenumia. Also, the extensive loading times and the low framerate are very annoying, making the Vita version even more problematic and dull.

Childen of Zodiarcs is an incredible SRPG that works both as an ode to the other games of the genre and as a fantastic game itself. It delivers a very pleasurable, challenging and fun experience which makes it one of the best games this genre has seen in the last few years.

Tiny Trax brings nostalgia to older players by recollecting the fun provided by slot-cars from past decades. Although easy to play, the game takes time to be mastered until the player feels comfortable against an AI that almost never commits a mistake. There is little variety in tracks and cars, however, each track is unique and surrounds the player in a fun and immersive way, taking advantage of virtual reality.

With an uninspired story, leaning on several cliches, relying on just a few aspects to stand out like the soundtrack and the art, The Caligula Effect is a game that's just worth checking out after the other, more interesting releases of the year.

Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles is certainly appealing with beautiful and colorful looks, a well placed soundtrack in every situation, as well as various in-game crafting options, but it fails in giving more immersion in a story that could be better developed to a world so wonderfully created, leaving the feeling that something is missing after all.
