Hidden Dragon: Legend has a lot of technical and perfomance issues. Combined with its bad writing, it is going to be a bad experience for any player. The game needs a lot of fixes that could come with an update patch. So, with that in mind, you have been warned.

The Solus Project is a survival game that mixes exploration with an entertaining space science fiction narrative. The player is the sole survivor of a spaceship crash, trapped in an unknown planet with a hostile climate, and needs to find food, keep a good body temperature, and seek shelter during various climate changes, while searching for a way to establish contact with the rescue team. To make matters worse, soon the player discovers that s/he may not be alone on this planet. Despite being developed by a small team, the game is surprisingly vast, with large areas to be explored and hundreds of secrets to be discovered, providing many hours of fun for a very affordable price.

After revealing his true identity (so far), the Admin throws Jesse and the gang into a prison, surrounded by a maze full of bizarre mutations of the monsters from the Minecraft universe. Breaking out of this prison will bring new revelations and also a tough decision right in the middle of the adventure. Most of the episode focuses on developing the story, but the player is rewarded at the end with good moments of action, including a boss fight.

95 / 100 - Project CARS 2
Sep 24, 2017

With Project CARS 2, Slightly Mad Studios did not aim to simply improve what its predecessor had achieved. Even with some performance issues, the huge amount of tracks and cars, great physics system and a gorgeous sound design make Project CARS 2 the best and most complete racing game ever made.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 is not just a simple soccer game, it is THE soccer game. The graphics are impressive and realistic, and a great number of teams that you can choose will guarantee many hours of fun, either online or offline. If the lack of license makes some players turn their back on it, it is the perfect and most close to reality gameplay that makes PES 2018 the best soccer game ever created.

Planet of the Eyes is the first step for a new developer and shows that there is a lot of potential in here. Some flaws make it inevitable to compare to other games, but the game is still worth it.

45 / 100 - Drive Girls
Sep 20, 2017

Tamsoft has experience with action games, however, Drive Girls needed a lot more polish to become a recommended product. Even among Tamsoft developed games, there are many other games that deserve your time and cash.

84 / 100 - Destiny 2
Sep 18, 2017

Perfectly performing the well-known studio formula and listening to the Destiny community players, Bungie created a sequel that is much more focused on veterans, without much innovation. However, it has clearly evolved a lot since the previous title.

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite will probably please the competitive players with its very good netcode and new mechanics that bring new life to the classic series. However, the recycled cast and the lack of polishment in the single-player content can push away the more casual players.

Resident Evil: Revelations on PS4 is basically the same game we've seen in the past generation, with a few graphical improvements. If you have already played it, especially in the 3DS where the title was more impressive, there is nothing new here. If you have not already done so, this new version is the best option available on the market.

Ys 8 is a polishment on the format debuted in Ys 7 which was also further refined in Ys Memories of Celceta and it is one of Falcom most ambitious titles to date. Warriors All-Stars is a love letter to Koei Tecmo and Omega Force written in the best way possible: an intense and fun action game, with exaggerated combat and great balance between comedy and drama. The lack of content and multiplayer holds it back a little, but it is undeniable the care and passion behind it.

Urban legends serve as a rich source material for horror stories. Don't Knock Twice is based on one, mixed with Slavic folklore to create a supernatural horror plot. It begins with clich' elements, but the story becomes interesting enough, with an unexpected twist towards the end. The game is compatible with VR and non-VR devices, but is definitively recommended to play it with the PSVR, as jump scares and moments of tension get a realistic feel, as well as interacting with the environment is much more intuitive.

85 / 100 - Knack 2
Sep 5, 2017

Knack 2 is an excellent game, which turned out to be one of the biggest surprises of this year, overcoming the first game on all aspects. Mark Cerny and Japan Studio deserve praise for sticking with this idea that still has a lot of potential to be explored. Although the story holds a few problems due to the poor development of its characters, it still offers a solid experience, with a good replay factor and is very entertaining. Besides that, it can also be played with a friend. It is definitely one of the best platform games of the year and one of the best exclusive games ever released on PlayStation 4.

Despite being a story prior to the original, Life is Strange: Before the Storm is best enjoyed if you consider it as a sequel. By far, the heart of the episode is the Chloe and Rachel encounter and we can finally learn more about this character that all Arcadia Bay loves. In the end, the story is interesting and prepares us for a second episode that will possibly bring strong feelings. The biggest problem of the episode are some graphics bugs and the control.

70 / 100 - Tokyo Xanadu
Sep 4, 2017

Tokyo Xanadu proves that Falcom can do no wrong, but at the same time, it proves that your strength is in celebrating what they've built through all these years and not in getting inspiration from other games.

The Pillars of the Earth is an adaptation of the best-selling homonymous novel by Ken Follet, set in a historical period of civil war in the 12th century England. With over a thousand pages of story to tell, the game is divided into three books, this being the first. It is practically an interactive novel, allowing the player to have a proactive involvement in the story by controlling three of their characters and making decisions about how they respond and act, thus shaping their personality. This will likely modify the story, but that is yet to be proven on the next books. Despite being packed with a lot of political and religious intrigues, the game has a very slow pace in the dialogues and actions of the characters, which hopefully may be improved in the future.

Rock of Ages 2 shows the human history like no other game. It is a beatiful game but unfortunately very short. It's possible to say that Rock of Ages 2 is a piece of art, much more than a game. It is a must-have for lovers of art and human history with a unique sense of humor.
