Whether you want to play this game with mates, or just pump up the jams and solo the campaign at your own pace, Wipeout is beyond fun for both fans of the franchise and newcomers alike. If you pick up one racing game over the next few months make it this one, there will be no regrets I can assure you.

Unscored - Drifting Lands
Jun 16, 2017

Drifting Lands is something of a guilty pleasure. It has the major issue of the core gameplay being nothing more than competent when compared to other games of its kind. Thankfully though the RPG and loot systems that surround this component are all great and make Drifting Lands a worthwhile purchase for people that enjoy this sort of game.

Unscored - Tekken 7
Jun 8, 2017

Tekken 7 is definitely in the running for being one of the best Tekken games of all time. Many would say it goes well beyond this and marks itself as a ‘must buy’ fighter for a wide range of gamers out there.

Unscored - Impact Winter
Jun 8, 2017

Snow-drenched, tense, and at any given time close to buckling under the weight of its own ambition - like a ceiling in a snowstorm - Impact Winter’s survival experience is one that deserves to be remembered by time and players alike.

Dirt 4 is spectacular, there really is no other way to put it. From the meta of running your own team and how that can affect your car performance, to the sheer variety of surprises that can hit you during a run… it’s just a beautifully dynamic racing experience, which is really the biggest game changer here

Injustice 2 does a bang up job throwing you into the shoes of your favourite DC Villains and Heroes. As a fighter it stands tall and will definitely have its place in the eSport and casual scenes alike

Unscored - Snake Pass
May 29, 2017

The bright, lively word and cast of characters in it makes the game an instantly attractive option, but with some really impressive mechanics, and a wonderful sense of atmosphere and fun, what you’re getting from your purchase is an immensely satisfying experience.

Unscored - The Surge
May 28, 2017

Ultimately, one’s enjoyment of The Surge can be largely predicted based upon enjoyment of similar titles. With a fresh take on some old formulas and an aesthetic that moves away from the grim fantasy players are used to, there is no doubt than fans of the genre should give it a shot. That said, it won’t be a revelation to any who have remained disinterested thus far.

Dated in some respects, polished and refined to a bright sheen in others, Wonderboy still manages to engage the player thanks to a solid fundamental core of simplistic but challenging combat, and a vast landscape to explore.

The problem for Dragon Quest Heroes II is that it fails to provide anything different of substance and so for a more casual consumer of the Dragon Quest franchise, there’s little incentive to pick the game up.

If you’re an XBOX One owner it’s hard to not recommend this title. You know a game is great when you can’t imagine the type of person that wouldn’t enjoy it.

Unscored - Puyo Puyo Tetris
May 16, 2017

I can pick it up invaluable minutes of spare time, play in friendly bouts with others, or be seriously engaged and strategic – either on a large screen or on a tablet. It does not feel as if anyone is significantly disadvantaged in how they choose to approach Puyo Puyo Tetris, and that is something that I haven’t said about many games recently that have tried to balance the solo/co-op/online experience.

Unscored - AFL Evolution
May 13, 2017

It’s important that we look at AFL Evolution through a different lens to the one we look at the likes of FIFA, NBA 2K and Madden through. AFL isn’t nearly the size of those other sports, and gets a proportional amount of financing as a result. It’s consequently much harder for a truly accurate simulation of what is already a very complicated game to be developed, but I applaud Wicked Witch for their effort.

NBA Playgrounds is a slightly less flashy, but more skillful version of NBA Jam that should keep fans of the formula very happy. A must buy for party gamers everywhere.

There are some great ideas, and experiments that have all been pulled off in Symphony of the Machine, and with a little more time in the oven to cook, this could very well have been one of the premiere experiences on the platform. The foundations are there though, so perhaps a sequel can expand on the idea, and knock off the rougher edges.

Overall, Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 isn’t a bad game at all. There’s definitely rewarding moments that come out of your own skills improving but it’s by no means a unique game in its class, often giving me flashback feelings of Sniper Elite or Ghost Recon: Wildlands.

Unscored - Troll and I

It feels to me that Troll and I could have been a reasonable game if the issues and usability features I encountered had been addressed. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I can’t in good conscience recommend Troll and I.

The bland setting, the slow, and poorly considered combat, and some really poor musical decisions mean that Episode Gladiolus doesn’t come close to reaching the heights of the main game, and that’s a shame given that it has an interesting plot, and it’s experimenting with ideas in the Score Attack mode.
