Mario & Rabbids is far more than ‘my first strategy game’. It manages to make Rabbids likeable and even at times quite funny. The mashing with the Mario-verse means that everything feels vibrant and Nintendo-esque.
But what sets this Madden apart is the wide open arms it has for newcomers, which is something a lot of serious sports titles forget to include. If you have ever thought about dipping your toes into Madden but have been put off by the complexity, then this is the year to do it, you will probably never get a better chance.
I’m still happy to recommend Yonder as a great experience for people looking for something a bit more laid back and I think parents with younger kids just getting into gaming might get a lot out of this title.
The mileage you get out of Agents of MAYHEM will depend on where your tastes lie. If you loved the humour from the Saints Row franchise, like to make your own fun in an open world and enjoy some over-the-top story telling then I am sure you will get a kick out of Agents of MAYHEM.
Speculation that the Uncharted franchise would falter in the absence of Nathan Drake has been silenced courtesy of an always engaging campaign, an interesting cast of characters, some of the best puzzles and set-pieces in the franchise’s history
For those itching to spend more time with Kazuma Kiryu following Yakuza 0, Kiwami is exactly what you’ve been waiting for and an essential purchase. If you happen to be looking to start the series, it’s hard to recommend Yakuza Kiwami over its immediate predecessor.
I've found Ironcast to be an addictive title that keeps me coming back for more, even up against all the other fun titles vying for my time on the Switch. The price point of just over $20 AUD is reasonable. I've gotten a good five or six hours so far out of it and can see myself coming back for more.
there is nothing like sitting with your significant other, each holding a Joy-Con, and jointly working out how to meet the objective of each stage.
Redeemer is a brutally satisfying brawler that will push players skill limits and rage limits in equal measure, making it a must buy for fans of the genre.
Is the game a must buy? Perhaps not, but it is easily the best Rugby League game ever made and despite its problems, there is plenty for fans of the sport to enjoy.
Even on the lowest difficulty level, there’s incredible challenge to be found in Nex Machina, a game that delivers just as much substance as it does style.
It’s a pivotal experience all gamers should have (as well as a justifiable reason to join an anger management group) and I highly recommend it to everyone.
Though Farpoint doesn’t boast much depth, and at times it feels like little more than a shooting gallery, Farpoint stands as a pivotal milestone in the journey of VR as a viable, successful platform.
The game isn’t the greatest looking space sim or the best sounding but in the end, Everspace is a wonderful and rewarding challenge that all fans of spaceships or roguelikes would do well to pick up.
I consider myself a fan of the genre, and whilst discovering new systems and tactics was compelling at first, it didn’t take long to turn into something completely aimless, thus losing its ability to hold my interest.
The Golf Club 2 is challenging and rewarding recreation of what it is like to play golf in the real world. It captures the ups and downs of the sport wonderfully and should be played by links fans everywhere.
It’s worth a go just to show that game developers are continuing to have amazing ideas to change gameplay, but finish it as quickly as you can and move on.
ARMS is a game that boasts both depth and accessibility, instant fun and a gratifying level of challenge.
With Serious Sam Bogus Detour you get exactly what you would expect out of a Serious Sam game. Fast combat, dumb yet persistent enemies and a big chunk of attitude. Only, in this case, it is all in 2D as opposed to the first person perspective.
Dreamfall Chapters is a unique and satisfying adventure that fans of the genre should have on their must-play list
