Gazillion have created a massive, content filled free-to-play Marvel MMO that can become repetitive if played alone and unbalanced if played on an overpopulated hub or when using XP boosts. Still, the game is great fun with friends when playing through the non-hub areas that's let down by some visual slowdown when the screen gets congested and some uninspired storytelling techniques.
Despite its niggles, Tokyo 42 is quite simply absolutely fantastic. I cannot wait to see what SMAC Games have for us next.
This is Crash Mode from Burnout in 2017 for less than a tenner.
Victor Vran is one of the most enjoyable aRPG's I've played in recent times with some A+ additional content for Metal heads thrown in for good measure.
I'm sure younger people who have the reflexes of a cat playing slap base in a wind tunnel could probably enjoy the single player mode, but for me, the manic nature and the stupid way you can lose the ball through no fault of your own waters down the single player experience, but thankfully the multiplayer more than makes up for it .
For newcomers, Lock's Quest is a solid tower defense/strategy/RPG/action game that should merit your attention. If the old school aesthetic doesn't appeal then well, it's all over this game so you may not have the wherewithal to dig and see what else this game has to offer. At times it's tough as balls and will certainly test your skills, however the lengthy campaign ensures you get enough bang here for your buck.
Nongunz is not for the faint hearted. If you feel you're worthy of the challenge, jump right in.
When the game is working as it should, the slick gunplay, simple premise, abrasive sense of humour and clean art style make it an enjoyable playlist co-op game for when you're having some friends over for pizza and gaming. It's a shame that the journey from PC to PS4 has been so rough and that Tango Fiesta is so filled bugs and glitches that I find this version hard to recommend to anyone. Do yourself a favour and go for a Tango Siesta instead (or get the game on PC).
If you were planning a mass multiplayer night with your buddies this is the kind of game that will get you swearing like it's going out of fashion, as your buddy consistently slashes your face off (in the game) when you didn't see him/her coming.
MechRunner offers little more enjoyment or innovation than the thousand of mobile runner games on the market – except it cost at least 10 times more. Sure, it's reasonably pretty, shiny and it does have a catchy soundtrack but the gameplay leaves a lot to be desired. MechRunner is just not fun and a huge disappointment.
A powerhouse of emotional storytelling. Developers Giant Sparrow have taken their previous work on The Unfinished Swan and have improved upon it in every way, creating something truly soul-stirring and evocative with Edith Finch.
