Despite having a rich universe of content to draw from, it seems as though it's doomed to be just another average anime-inspired video game.
Devil May Cry 5 certainly provides moments of fun and if you can look past some aspects that belong in the last generation of gaming then you will have a competent action romp with Dante and friends. However I feel like this entry is a step backwards after DMC dared to shake up the formula a little more.
The Occupation is so many things I have wanted to see in a game, but I can't give it the love and adoration I want to.
Earthfall feels like a science-fiction skin for Left 4 Dead. This isn't inherently a bad thing, after all, people are desperate for a new Left 4 Dead game. Although it does make it easy to compare and see where Earthfall falls short.
...With some fixes the game’s aspirations may yet shine through and make this at least a decent campy exploration in the horror genre some time in the future. For now at least, players can only help but wonder what could’ve been.
Bee Simulator’s visually stunning scenes should undoubtedly be appreciated. Whilst more effort could have been made to make the game more dynamic and exciting, I can’t deny the game succeeds in providing an interactive education system that would be a real win for younger audiences.
If you’re a fan of XCOM, Final Fantasy Tactics, or strategy games in general though, I would still definitely recommend giving this one a look regardless.
Despite Sparklite being yet another retro-indie title, I still think it is worth checking out.
I think Shenmue 3 is the best in the series so far, its big and long but not overwhelming or pretentious.
If you go into this title knowing exactly what you are getting and have no issues with a shooter that has a slower approach, then there is plenty to enjoy here.
Despite lingering technical hiccups and some underwhelming storytelling decisions, Ghostbusters: The Video Game is worth checking out for any fan of the franchise.
Finji has done well in introducing a wide variety of choices in strategy games, and of course some cute cuddly companions.
Neo Cab makes me wish that big-budget publishers did games of this nature.
some major highs as far as character development and plot goes, and foregoing some sound and music shortcomings I feel that, once all is done and dusted, players will look back on Life is Strange 2 with fondness and respect…
Though I adored all the little time-wasters in the game and flying through space, it just wouldn’t be what it is without that carefully crafted country rock music in the background,
...a celebration of 80's horror nostalgia and has enough intriguing elements to make it worthwhile.
...see yourself falling in love with a strange, charming, colour-filled roller-coaster of a game...
...a charming and enjoyable open-world creation game that is enjoyable for RPG and crafting fans alike.
RAD isn't the best of its genre, but it brings some interesting ideas to the table. If you prefer style over substance, you will probably have a good time here.
Samurai Shodown doesn't try to appeal to everyone, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.
