The sound design and relaxing gameplay are easily the game’s greatest strengths. There are some lazy side-objectives tacked onto the experience, but they can easily be skipped.
As a singleplayer experience, it is a lot of fun. The mechanics, customization, and amount of content are all great for this type of game. Bad AI and technical issues do hinder the experience though.
Even though the combat is bland, Cyberdimension Neptunia is a decent game overall. The party system, customization, and endgame content are all great. Even so, there are some minor annoyances.
Maintains a certain degree of complexity while also being simple enough for newcomers to enjoy the experience. It does suffer from a bad UI and a general lack of sound, but still enjoyable regardless.
Pretty good game! The gameplay mechanics are slick, the enemy and boss variety is excellent, and the story is just crazy. However, the difficulty, tweak variety, and controls could use a little work.
Sorcery Jokers may have an average story, but its use of full HD graphics and extensive animation really help to better the experience. The in-game flowchart is a really nice addition as well.
Great game all around. The combat is satisfying, the upgrades are cool, and the wuxia elements that make the genre fun are all present. Definitely recommended for fans of platforming beat ’em up games.
It is hard to recommend Black Mirror with the amount of technical flaws present. In the game’s current state, it simply is not worth the time, even with the decent story and puzzle element.
It was designed as a cooperative game and it shows. The concept and story are nice, but the difficult needs some serious changes to be viable for a solo player.
Solid game overall. A decent amount of content to go through with fun and interesting mechanics to match. There are a few small physics issues, but they are not enough to sour the experience.
Despite the boring story and the lack of exploration, Omega Quintet is still a great game. The battle system alone is enough for me to recommend the game, but the game's pros go beyond just that. Plenty of customization options, helpful skipping features, and a general wealth of content just to name a few.
A decent game overall. Nice unit diversity, but really poor AI. I would definitely recommend waiting until the multiplayer component of the game is released before buying.
Despite its bugs and storyline, Hello Neighbor is still a decent game. The puzzles are creative and a lot of fun to solve, the art style is good, and the Neighbor AI mechanic adds an additional layer to the gameplay.
With each release, Key continues to set the standard for what a good visual novel should strive to be. The game met my high expectations and it is the first visual novel to have impacted me on such an emotional level, enough so that I had to fight back tears.
For a game based on a cartoon, Ben 10 does its job for the audience it is aimed at. For the general gamer however, it fails. The combat is shallow and there is not a whole lot of content to the game.
Hyakki Castle looks and plays great, but simply has too many issues to recommend to a general audience. What the game achieves in its setting design and leveling system comes at the cost of a half-baked “party splitting” feature, a frustrating save system, and a 720p resolution lock.
Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection does not shake up the JRPG formula too much outside of its unique EXP mechanic, but it does offer a fun dungeon-crawling experience with a good soundtrack to match.
Does not really bring anything new to the genre, but it does capitalize on what made the series popular in the first place, and that is just fine. The soundtrack being an added bonus on top of that.
A solid metroidvania game. The game’s visual design and soundtrack are fantastic and the enemy variety is large enough to not make the experience feel repetitive.
An average platformer overall. It does not particularly excel in any area outside of its presentation, but it is not an entirely bad game either, it just simply lacks in content.
