An amazing story, that had me wanting more, and wanting to see what would happen next. It’s not without some minor flaws, but if you are willing to go along for the ride, the story will be enjoyable.

3.5 / 5.0 - Grow Up!
Jun 8, 2018

A good improvement on the original game of Grow Home, it has a number of issues that kept me from loving it. Still, I enjoyed my time with it, and it has some great technology and exploration.

A more intense and expanded game than the original, and better in almost every way. Worth picking up over the original. However lack of meaningful progression gets in its way, but still fun.

It’s over too fast, and it’s very strange and bizarre, but it’s one of the better walking simulators even if it might not be one of the longer choices. Still, I like it a lot, and I wish there was more.

A master of horror and terror, which brings one of the film’s greatest terrors to life in a game. If you want to be scared this game will achieve it. Though it has a few flaws it’s incredibly effective.

It’s a budget musical title, whose budget does hurt the soundtrack. While it has good graphics and style, only a few songs are noteworthy and a couple are memorable. But the story is solid.

Ori and the Blind Forest is magnificent. It has gorgeous views, excellent gameplay, and a solid challenge. The entire game just flows natural and flawlessly and you will enjoy ever part of it.

The perfect game that harkens back to classic days of the NES Castlevanias, with the same feel and style. It has some issues and is clearly made for the already built fan base, it’s still a lot of fun.

4 / 5.0 - Hacknet
May 21, 2018

Hacknet presents a version of hacking that is a bit Hollywoodized. It’s also fabulously entertaining and exciting. It reminds me of Uplink in all the right ways and as such deserves your attention.

1.5 / 5.0 - Resident Evil 6

Easily the worst game out of the entire main series. This is a bad game, not just a bad Resident Evil game. Go play just about anything else instead of spending your time here.

2 / 5.0 - Destiny 2
May 15, 2018

While it improves on the original in a number of ways, it doesn’t stand out from the original. It reminds me of Doom 2, where it added in a double-barreled shotgun and a couple of monster types. If you were dying for more Destiny, Destiny 2 is perfect for you, but this didn’t change my opinion of the franchise.

2 / 5.0 - Kingsway
May 13, 2018

Kingsway has a great interface, but it has a lackluster gameplay. I want the gameplay to be better than it was because it has a nostalgic feeling for me, but it doesn’t hook the player like it could.

4.5 / 5.0 - Bayonetta

A fantastic and unique game of a witch fighting against the forces of Heaven. It has so much style that it easily entertains people. Great gameplay, great character and enemy designs.

A long JRPG with a lot of content. Enjoyable but brought down by too many battle systems, and a story that isn’t very good. However it’s a quantity over quality smorgasboard of JRPG goodness.

While there could be more randomness or more strategy required, Plague Inc. Evolved produces an interesting and unique experience. There's a lot of content in the game and a good challenge.

3 / 5.0 - LiEat
May 1, 2018

While rough around the edges and with a weird story, two out of three games in the LiEat series were rather solid. It's a shame the first one is the weakest because I think it will turn people off.

Batman is a great use of the license. It may take a few liberties, it still delivers a great story with good pacing. The engine may be weak, but the writing is on point for fans of the Dark Knight.

1.5 / 5.0 - Dead Rising 4
Apr 25, 2018

It’s a shame that the game doesn’t live up to the series’ potential. Glitches make games harder to play, weak gameplay ruins game. I’d replay Dead Rising 3 twice instead of Dead Rising 4
