Overall, Planet Coaster Console Edition is an absolute joy to play. It had a wonderful nostalgic element to it, taking me back to the days of Rollercoaster Tycoon and Theme Park World. Enough has been added to the game though to make it feel like a modern-day classic. The rides themselves are extremely customisable and you could easily spend over an hour just working on one rollercoaster if you fancied. When they say you can make anything you want, they pretty much mean it. The amount of detail you can add to your creations is astounding and so welcome. It’s a game you could lose hours, days and even months of your life to without zero regrets at all.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is a game definitely worthy of the Assassin’s Creed name. It’s fun, it’s vast and it continues to give players the freedom to do pretty much whatever they want to do in the game.

All in all, if you enjoyed the first Remothered then this one is worth picking up, but you might want to wait for a sale.

If you’re fine with the occasional minor graphical bug, Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm is an essential RPG for the Nintendo Switch, and it might just tide you over until we get a new Zelda.

Overall, Minecraft Steve is a love letter. Not only to Minecraft, but to the Smash Bros community in general.

The most frustrating part of the whole experience was that it proves Pokémon Sword & Shield could’ve been so much better than they were. Despite its short length and graphical limitation, The Crown Tundra gives a further glimpse into how magical Galar could’ve been. It’s a steep price point for an Expansion Pass where only half of it is enjoyable. Combine that with the full price of the base game, which is necessary to play The Crown Tundra, and you’re looking at a hefty price tag for very little joy. However, if you’ve already finished the base game or completed the Isle of Armour, The Crown Tundra is a very enjoyable way to spend a few hours.

In conclusion, Paper Beast: Folded Edition is an affordable, enjoyable way of experiencing the beauty of this poetic indie gem. But Paper Beast was created for VR, and it shows. The adapted keyboard controls often induce motion sickness and the technological marvel of the VR world pixel Reef created falls flat on a screen.

Watch Dogs: Legion is a super-fun experience and although it falls short in some areas (such as bugs and character depth), the gameplay mechanics, large open world, and story more than makeup for it.

If you’re a football fan that also loves anime then Captain Tsubasa is a must. There’s no denying it’s a fun game. The visual novel style story modes have some great moments and if you enjoy that style of storytelling you’re in for a treat. Hopefully, this is the start of a renaissance for Captain Tsubasa video games because Rise of New Champions is a great foundation for future instalments.

Projection: First Light started out as one of my favourite indie games of the year so far, but with a game-breaking bug in the mix, it’s sadly going to fall short of what I initially expected to score it. Hopefully the bug will be fixed soon, but for now, it unfortunately has to be reflected in my score.

The gameplay is challenging yet achievable. It gives you the right amount of difficulty without forcing you to throw the controller at the TV screen. It runs smoothly and really is just a whole lot of fun to play.

UFC 4 is an overall enjoyable experience, but I feel it is hindered by the fact it is so similar to UFC 3. Anyone who has played UFC 3 before will not notice a whole lot different about the game other than the updated roster and stats.

2 / 10.0 - Bounty Battle
Sep 21, 2020

Bounty Battle is offensively poor. An impressive selection of beloved indie characters are paraded around with none of the charms that their independent games have. I never thought I’d miss the cold, calculated way AAA equivalents are designed to make me part with my money, but I’d take a thousand carefully planned cash grabs over this staggeringly inept Smash Bros. clone. I don’t say that the game is almost unplayable flippantly. The sheer disappointment I felt playing this game was almost worse than the horrendous controls and the lack of gameplay options.

A beautiful and wonderfully executed story, Raji: An Ancient Epic is definitely an enjoyable way to spend a few hours of your time. Its combat mechanics are functional and fine, but rarely stray into the realm of “fun.”

From what we’ve played of the game it seems like something that fans of the heroes will love, even if it’s just the story mode that you play. The multiplayer elements won’t be for everyone but there’s plenty there to keep coming back to.

GREYHAT is Taken meets whatever your favourite shlocky hacker movie is, with a bit of Deus Ex immersiveness sprinkled in. Definitely worth a purchase if you like a thriller, a good puzzle, or if you just want to escape the world for a while to a place where you can control almost anything. We’ll be watching Limited Games in the future – who knows, maybe from inside their network.
