Princess Maker 2 Refine is a truly unique and extraordinarily catchy teenage girl simulator set in a nice fantasy world. Too bad about some unnecessary technical shortcomings. Fortunately, however, they're not a major disruption to the overall enjoyable experience.

45% - Syndrome
Oct 9, 2016

The first third of Syndrome is a picture perfect game, but a fall from grace follows shortly afterwards. Camel 101 have simply bitten off more than they could chew.

Adam Wolfe is truly a pleasant surprise from Serbia that once again proves that even small indie games are able to compete with bigger budget projects. At least the first episode managed to do so.

Although The Turing Test might look like a new Portal, it's not. It starts promising enough, but then it starts to lose breath. Still worthy of a recommendation.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a great follow-up to its excellent predecessor. The biggest problem is the story, which was more engaging last time.

Resident Evil 5 remains a good game even today. It has a good story, a functional co-op and in addition it's sold for a very decent price. The controls got little outdated, but after a while you can get used to it.

Gears of War 4 is a successful new entry in the series. This time made by different creators, but everything that fans adored has been preserved.

85% - FIFA 17
Oct 17, 2016

FIFA 17 is an excellent entry in this long-term series. EA Canada has came up with a lot of changes over the past year, among them The Journey story mode and the new graphics engine that injected new blood into the series.

Pankrác became Detective Hayseed, but otherwise everything is the same. This new version has really nothing new to offer, but it's a decent adventure game from Czech developers.

80% - Shu
Oct 19, 2016

Shu is one of those titles that may not cause a great deal of excitement, but players who give it a chance will be rewarded well. It offers great gameplay, an atmospheric fairy world and a well-done audiovisual style. There really aren't many things that Shu could be reprimanded about. Throw away the prejudices and embark on this platform game that reminds you of how fun this genre can be.

75% - Mafia 3
Oct 24, 2016

Mafia III had great potential, but the devs almost killed the game by artificial repeating quests. At least story is still interesting and if you can look past the repetition, it might still be worth playing. But you still might want to wait for patches.

If you are looking for hardcore simulation to play with a steering wheel, try looking elsewhere. But if you prefer using a gamepad, WRC6 is a good choice. Less demanding racing players will be happy to play it.

Ride 2 is meant for all motorcycling fans. Riding detailed bikes is still fun after many hours of playing. Despite its shortcomings, we can still recommend this game.

Cossacks 3 won't convince any new players about merits of RTS games, but everyone else will be greatly entertained. Doubly so if you're a fan of the series.

Skyrim Special Edition isn't the triumphant return to Tamriel we were hoping for, but it still serves as a nice nostalgia trip. The same old bugs are somewhat migigated with dramatically better graphics and added DLCs. Owners of the original game will be disappointed, the others should be satisfied.

Football Manager 2017 is still the best football managing experience, but if you own its predecessor, then consider saving money for next year.

Fortunately, the high bar set by the first episode was matched and the only disappointing part could be the cliffhanger ending. Otherwise, it can be enjoyed not only by the casual players, but also by the more demanding ones.

Yesterday Origins is a fairly successful return of immortal John Yesterday to our screens. The fans of hand-drawn adventure games and mystery themed stories should be not disappointed.

Dishonored 2 is like meeting an old friend – you know who he is and what to expect from him. Basically, Dishonored 2 is the same as the first Dishonored, only bigger. It's bit of a shame that it wasn't a bit more ambitious, but whoever loved the first game will be equally excited about the sequel.

Through the Woods excels with its unique atmosphere and it feels like it has been created with passion. However, the survival stroll through the haunted island, lost in time and space, is intended for only for those horror fans that are willing to tolerate a significantly low budget and the resulting shortcomings.
