7 / 10.0 - Tomodachi Life
Jun 18, 2014

Well, if easy and weird is how you like it, Nintendo's Tomodachi Life may be just the Mii Rap Simulator/news program for you!

8 / 10.0 - Watch Dogs
Jun 9, 2014

Ultimately, the vast amount of content that you get for Watch Dogs help inspire us to overlook its graphical shortcomings. It may simply be yet another GTA clone that didn't meet our expectations, but it still plays efficiently and offers a staggering amount of fun for players to explore every pocket of this tech-noir version of Chicago.

For me, the best part of Murdered: Soul Suspect was the series of ghost stories you could listen to after collecting certain items. They provided just enough spookiness to entertain me for minutes at a time while I wound down from Ronan's less-than-thrilling adventures through Salem. I tried really hard to get into Murdered: Soul Suspect, but unfortunately, it just didn't have much spirit.

9 / 10.0 - Mario Kart 8
Jun 2, 2014

Even the most hardened kart-racing veterans would be hard-pressed not to consider Mario Kart 8 as one of the best, if not the best, entry in this phenomenal series. If you enjoy SimCity, any of the previous Tropico games, or city-building games in general, you'll probably find a lot to like here— unless you get it for PC, in which case you may not be able to play it until its developers get their coding under control.

As you would expect, Wolfenstein: The New Order is fun to play, but what you don't expect is the brilliant narrative that arises from its over-the-top story.

As Johnny Cash once said, "I'll try to carry off a little darkness on my back." In Always Sometimes Monsters, you're already carrying that darkness. It's just a matter of how far you can go with that much weight on your shoulders.

8.5 / 10.0 - Super Time Force
May 16, 2014

Super Time Force may not look like a complex shooter that's full of depth, but as that old adage goes, "A picture is worth a thousand words." Most of those words are going to be expletives when playing STF, but cursing at a game has never been more enjoyable. When you add in the stellar chiptune soundtrack, loads of replayability and a silly narrative packed with sophomoric charm, it's easy to understand why we've been making so much time to play Capy's Super Time Force. You should, too.

8.5 / 10.0 - MLB 14: The Show
May 14, 2014

The good news is, MLB 14: The Show translates wonderfully on the PlayStation 4, but outside of improved presentation, there isn't much new to be excited about.

Bound By Flame strives to live up to its forefathers, and while it doesn't exactly fail, it does make some serious mistakes that drag the experience down.

Stick It to the Man is so much more than random insanity— it's also a delightful point-and-click-style adventure game draped in the wrappings of a platformer.

Considering the beauty that surrounds Lemuria, getting lost within Child of Light's lands is far from boring.

Much like its tie-in's shock ending, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 let us go when we were least expecting it and Beenox failed to swing in to save Spider-Man's love when it mattered the most.

7 / 10.0 - Trials Fusion

While not as impressive as its predecessor, Trials Fusion still offered a good sense of achievement, even if it was missing a lot of the fun.

Ultimately, Reaper of Souls is more than enough to reel in former Diablo III players who went into a demon-slaying hiatus. More importantly, Reaper has the ability to appeal to the fans of Diablo I and II that were turned off by Diablo III.

While not everyone will be satisfied with the ending, most of our questions end up being answered in one way or another. Of course, this leads to some other questions, but the BioShock saga, at least the one that involves the cities of Rapture and Columbia, is laid to rest at the bottom of the sea. But who knows? With all of this talk about constants and variables, we may yet see another lighthouse, another man and another city.
