Super Mario RPG is a delightful little remake that adds a lot of quality of life updates to the combat especially, that remains as fun as ever. Despite some dated aspects that strangely remain, and a choppy framerate at points it's still a great experience for all ages.

While the graphical improvements are subtle, the new modes are worth the price of admission alone, especially No Return, a Roguelike mode that's absurdly fun, although it could use a bit more permanent progression to spice up later runs.

I highly recommend Blasphemous 2 to any Metroidvania fan. It's a great sequel with snappy, satisfying combat and movement, great exploration and a heavy, brutal and memorable world.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is surprisingly fun, comical and further improves on the already excellent ATB combat system. It's already one of the contenders for best game of the year.

Stellar Blade is a fun and satisfying hack and slash, boasting a fast paced combat that makes the player feel like a badass, although its female representation leaves a lot to be desired.

Megaquarium is far from perfect. Yet it's still one of the best sims out there right now. The freedom of the sandbox mode - opposed to its restrictive campaign - and the fluid gameplay keep the game fresh for hours. Although the AI and UI can be disruptive at times.

The Outer Worlds does a good job at filling the gap left by the Fallout series after its recent controversies. The game shines in its roleplay and dialogue. I loved every second I spent on Halycon, but I can't help but feel that there's an untapped potential the developers could've put more time into. Hopefully a possible sequel should raise the quality of many of its aspects, especially the narrative and combat.

Final Fantasy VII Remake boasts an incredibly fun combat system under a fantastic soundtrack and beautiful visuals. Unfortunately, the writing does not do its narrative any favors, and the game released with a fair share of issues.

Ghost of Tsushima does not stray away from your typical AAA Open World game, but it does some small changes and improvements that make it a lot more pleasant and fun than other games in the genre. The game's combat is satisfying (the stealth is not), and it's got one of the most beautiful worlds I've ever had the pleasure to play in.

Village is a more action-focused evolution of Resident Evil VII. The combat is dynamic, the exploration is rewarding and its visuals can be stunning. Even though the game overstays its welcome and it doesn't improve on every aspect of the series, I'd still call it one of the best Resident Evil games yet.

Nier Replicant™ ver.1.22474487139... manages to fix the issues that plagued the original release, but the PC port introduces a few new ones that can thankfully be solved by mods. It is, however, a beautiful work with a truly great soundtrack that deserves its place as a great story-driven game.

A visually charming adventure, with an unexpected challenging combat plagued by some technical issues and repetitive structure.

A must buy for long-time fans of the Yakuza series. Lost Judgment is a game full of content, with an incredibly enjoyable combat system and a story that whilst does not land with both feet in its execution, still shows some touching moments.

There's no denying that Metroid Dread is a solid game. But I'm still disappointed at how safe the studio decided to play with this game. While the gameplay is solid, everything else is just "ok" and there's no innovation, leaving me feeling that the newest sequel to Metroid should've felt more influential on the future of the genre it popularized.

With a surprisingly branching narrative, satisfyingly intense combat and an amazing soundtrack, Triangle Strategy is a great treat for Tactical RPG fans, but the lack of customization and ways to meaningfully improve your character drag the experience down a bit.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope remains a great game like its predecessor, but with tons of changes, some really good while others make the experience feel less consistent.

Wo Long is definitely a good Soulslike, with addicting combat and epic encounters, but an uneven parry and level design drag the experience down.

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is a really fun metroidvania and a possible new franchise in the making but dragged down by an awful map system that does more harm than good.

Final Fantasy XVI certainly excels in spectacle, boasting superb boss fights with a great combat system and narrative, but the quieter moments outside of those big scenes end up mostly uninteresting and boring with RPG elements that feel mostly inconsequential.

Viewfinder explores an interesting concept that greatly uses perspective to build entertaining puzzles that do some really interesting things, but in the end I left the experience with the feeling that more could have been done, and some of the new mechanics introduced towards the end don't really get to shine.
