VideoGamer's Reviews

Nov 28, 2013

Pretty yet uninspired. Killzone, then.

9 / 10 - FIFA 14
Nov 25, 2013

Better than the 360/PS3 instalments in more than just looks, this is the best version of FIFA 14 you can buy.

Nov 25, 2013

Everything you'd expect it to be and less.

Nov 24, 2013

Excellent driving mechanics and visuals are sadly hindered by too many major issues.

Nov 20, 2013

The visual showpiece for your Xbox One.

9 / 10 - Tearaway
Nov 20, 2013

One of, if not the, best games on the Vita, and one of 2013’s most unforgettable adventures.

Nov 19, 2013

The bodywork is built for showing off your new machine, but there's something more substantial under the hood.

Nov 18, 2013

The game that deserves to sell Wii Us the world over...

5 / 10 - Zoo Tycoon
Nov 17, 2013

There's definitely a zoo, but where's the tycoon?

5 / 10 - LocoCycle
Nov 17, 2013

At times enjoyable, LocoCycle is still a very by the numbers XBLA title.

A Link Between Worlds deserves its place among the great Zelda games of yesteryear.

Nov 10, 2013

One of the best games of 2012 is back, and it might be the best game of 2013.

Nov 4, 2013

Diminishing with every return, Ghosts' addictive nature is tempered by over-familiarity.

Oct 28, 2013

Flawed yet addictive, Assassin's Creed may be in need of a change.

Aug 26, 2013

Rayman Legends isn't perfect, but it's still a cracking game.

Jul 23, 2013

Spartan Assault is simple but entertaining.

8 / 10 - Torchlight II
Sep 25, 2012

Torchlight II is up there with the best examples of the genre, but Runic Games makes very little attempt to advance the genre beyond what we were already comfortable with a decade ago.

The game's slick visual overhaul is enough to get your attention, but it's the detail and pace of the game's tried-and-tested maps and gunplay that will keep you coming back - make no mistake, these are shootouts that are attractive through excellence rather than nostalgia.

9 / 10 - Lone Survivor
Apr 16, 2012

Lone Survivor deserves to be massive, because it might just be the most interesting thing I've played all year.

9 / 10 - Fez
Apr 12, 2012

Perhaps more appealing than the brain teasers is Fez's mesmerizing setting. I'm not usually a fan of low-fi aesthetics for the sake of looking retro, and initially Fez might resemble an 8-bit throwback, but upon closer inspection it's a finely detailed world simply made out of cubes with scenery as varied, atmospheric, and inspired as any triple-A title I've played.
