I have to commend developer AY Games too. It almost feels like they’ve taken visual cues from Darkest Dungeon, mixed them with mechanics from Slay the Spire, all while giving it their own unique spin on things. The result is a pretty solid title.

Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia suffers from pacing issues throughout, but it still manages to hold its own in the tactical RPG genre with tight systems that have tons of customization options to make each playthrough your own.

Paper Mario: The Origami King is a fun romp back into the world of Paper Mario, but mundane combat and a lack of experience points really hinder the main activity of the game. Charming writing is the real draw here and what will keep bringing players back for more.

If you’re an enthusiast of the genre, there’s plenty of depth in the game’s strategy and bosses to justify the price. However, if you’re not an enthusiast of the genre and you’re curious about the game, I would recommend waiting for a sale or holding off entirely if you don’t enjoy the potential frustration of challenging games.

Death end re;Quest 2 nails a lot of things: narrative, aesthetics, soundtrack, and character growth are all fantastic. It falters in narrative delivery, visual design, and difficulty spikes. It’s a commendable gothic JRPG from Idea Factory that does interesting things even if not all of them work.

Drake Hollow is great fun with faster paced gameplay than most survival games.

Spirit of the North Enhanced Edition takes cues from other adventure games like Journey, but it doesn’t offer the same level of replayability. However, it does have a super cute fox.

Outriders isn’t the best game or even the most fun game I’ve ever played, but it is a damn good time. In a world where looter-shooters are often incredibly grindy, Outriders never quite made it feel like it was a grind. It’s a competent, flashy shooter whose campaign overstays its welcome near the end, but it’s a blast to play with friends, who can drop in and out of games at any time.

Far Cry 6 is sure to please long-time series veterans and newcomers alike. It just doesn't break any new ground.

Marsupilami: Hoobadventure is a fun platformer that draws inspiration from classics like Crash Bandicoot and Donkey Kong Country.

Rainbow Six Extraction might not be the tactical sequel fans of the franchise were looking for, but it’s a hell of a lot of fun with friends.

Syberia: The World Before will be most enjoyed by series veterans, but even rookies like me can find enjoyment with an hour or less of research.

Wonder Boy Collection is a surprisingly decent collection of classic games from a franchise that most people in the West probably have not played. It is missing Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair and Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap, but there’s enough variety here to keep you entertained for a while.

Your adventure will only last a few short hours, but the length feels right as anything much longer would start to get tedious. If you’re looking for something beautiful and relaxing, check out Voyage.

Halo Infinite is a genuine disappointment on multiple levels. The campaign is lackluster and lacks the promised couch co-op. The open-world map is largely devoid of life. The multiplayer is decent, but it's competing in a saturated market. Although I held out hope, that hope has evaporated.

If you haven’t played a Jackbox Party Pack game before, all of these games are going to feel relatively fresh. Some are better than others, but you’ll at least get a few laughs out of it.

Super Monkey Ball Blitz HD is a pretty competent high-definition rerelease, but I wouldn’t agree on the price tag. $40 seems a bit high for what can be interpreted as a resolution and framerate bump on a game from 2006.

To be perfectly honest, I appreciate what the developers are attempting. However, Mosaic is pretty basic in its core gameplay mechanics. That’s kind of the point, illustrating the mundanity of the character’s life. But it also doesn’t make for the most enthralling experience.

Truth be told, AO Tennis 2 is not the best tennis game that I have ever played. It is, however, a solid attempt at a simulation-style sports game.

Even with the stage properly set, Moons of Madness ultimately fails to reel you in and demand your attention. It has a pretty high production value, and the setting is interesting. However, I never felt any sort of attachment to the main character and ultimately cared more about the otherworldly environment.
