8 / 10.0 - Thymesia
Aug 16, 2022

Thymesia is a very interesting game. On the one hand, it's hard to find unique aspects that define it, leaning too much on its inspirations, lacking that defining light. On the other hand, the team's expertise in design and game mechanics show the talent and potential for something more. Thymesia is a good start to what could be an impressive future for Overborder Studio.

Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered holds the heart and soul of a video game that captures the experience of being Spider-Man and Peter Parker very well. Granted, the sameness of the inhabited world is impossible to ignore, but everything pertaining to this arachnid centric cycle is so good that swinging from web to web with your eyes closed is easy. With a storyline that will pull at the corner of your eye, combat that constantly evolves until the end of the game, and a port so well crafted by Nixxes Software there is no justification for any fan to pass up the opportunity to #BeGreater.

8 / 10.0 - Live A Live
Aug 9, 2022

Live a Live is just the right dose for those looking to escape the extensive RPG standards and live 8 different and relatively short experiences, to go along with the enhanced and most beautiful HD-2D visuals used in a video game to date. A Nintendo Switch exclusive title not to be missed!

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 shows that going back in time, and appealing to fans' nostalgia is something that often works, resulting in one of the most spectacular sports games of the generation, even for people who are not fans of the genre. With improved graphics and envious gameplay, this new entry in the franchise is undoubtedly the definitive way to experience the classic games.

Sword and Fairy: Together Forever is an entry that embraces new visitors, keeping a simple narrative and focusing mostly on visual attraction. However, we find the same repetitive formula that characterizes the saga, almost feeling like we are playing an MMORPG. Nevertheless, it is smoothly presented and appealing to RPG lovers.

6 / 10.0 - Rune Factory 5
Aug 4, 2022

Although somewhat fun when not disturbed by the problems described above, Rune Factory 5 is the first fully 3D title in the franchise and a step in the right direction for the saga (if sequels exist after the developers' bankruptcy). The already traditional Rune Factory systems such as combat, farming, and the famous interpersonal relationships are intact to some extent, but it is sad to see that the visuals come across as too simplistic for such a large-scale transition. With the controls making life difficult for players, I recommend first acquiring Rune Factory 4 Special and, if you like it, moving on to this fifth iteration.

While the change from 2D to 3D graphics was not to everyone's liking, for fans Disgaea 6 Complete represents that favorite dish you always order at the same restaurant, now with a slightly different flavor. Even with some modifications to (at least) get newcomers to complete the main story, those who are not fans of the property will most likely not be converted. It is, however, still a good video game and a good experience for those who enjoy tactical RPGs.

Bright Memory: Infinite is a tech demo full of potential, with amazing gameplay and visuals. At a highly acceptable price, this frenetic experience even without narrative substance, delivers a constant action that will leave you at least 1.5 hours clinging to the screen eliminating everything that moves.

I don't know how Ghostrunner: Complete Edition slipped under my radar for two years, but it proved to be a very fun title. As the bastard and illegitimate child of Cyberpunk 2077 and Mirror's Edge, several aspects such as the narrative, atmosphere and frenetic gameplay are to be commended, as well as the Project Hel adventure and the overall good performance of the title. The only regrets are the bugs that occurred, the length of the adventure and the lack of accessibility options. Still this is a video game worthy of your time and attention, even more so if the themes employed are of interest to you.

Void Riders is an expansion that doesn't want to spoil the essence of OlliOlli World, giving us the same experience with a few extra touches and a good dose of levels for those who are thirsty for some more skateboarding tricks. With a fair and affordable price, it's definitely worth the content.

Deliver Us The Moon is a game that, despite its simplicity and extreme linearity that doesn't give the player much freedom of exploration, brings a memorable and immersive experience, whose story captures the player's attention as many others fail to do.

It took a while, but it's here. Klonoa makes its triumphant return in a must-have pack not only for fans of the saga but also for fans of the genre. Exciting and clinical in technicality, platforming doesn't get any purer than this.

In an industry where many companies use DLC as a predatory way to grab consumers, MDHR made sure that every penny paid was worth it, and I must admit they did not disappoint. Cuphead extends its adventure with one more playable character, laying a new foundation for future iterations, with us eagerly awaiting. The Delicious Last Course took its time but arrived with lots (and lots) of good content and love from MDHR, and in the end, this is what we care about.

Kao the Kangaroo returns playing it safe, preferring to establish a solid base rather than start branching out into concepts right away, which is perfectly acceptable. With a humble entry, it has high and low points, yet it can't help but be in the portfolio of genre lovers for several fun sessions.

8 / 10.0 - F1 22
Jul 11, 2022

F1 2022 is back in full force and promises to occupy the hearts of single-seater fans, less good note for the F1 life mode that adds little and for the absence of f3 and historic cars. In the end it's a few French fries in need of ketchup and a little too much salt!

Yurukill: The Calumniation Games is a full dose for fans of visual novels, and a perfect title for those who want to get started in this genre. The story is extremely captivating, full of mystery and twists and turns, and with a special shoot'em up twist along the way that makes the experience more immersive. It's a must-have title!

6.8 / 10.0 - INDUSTRIA
Jul 6, 2022

INDUSTRY brings a short adventure, but one that not only evokes nostalgia, but brings a concept that deserves to be explored. Too bad it doesn't explore to the fullest, but it leaves you with your mouth watering for what this team of only two people can bring to the industry. It is nonetheless an enjoyable journey that makes our time worthwhile.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, despite being a prologue, manages to distinguish itself by providing an enjoyable story and gameplay. The repetitive gameplay may not be for everyone, but the mechanics, presentation, and simple but solid gameplay undoubtedly make this experience a little surprise that gives us an appetizer to the world of Eiyuden Chronicle.

To be honest Starship Troopers: Terran Command is not a bad game, but rather just mediocre, joining the list of other titles that drink and breathe this property, but without managing to live up to the name. You realize there could be a good RTS here, but the various issues raised by the review outside prevent it from being something bigger and better (there is no multiplayer either!). If you are a true fan of the saga and all that it encompasses you might find some fun here, otherwise I advise waiting for the next attempt.
