Cyber Shadow is an excellent game full of satisfying combat, smart level design, cool boss fights, driving music, and responsive controls.
This is the pinnacle of Hitman...
This game was the original reason I wanted a PlayStation 5 and it was well worth it.
Before the Switch ports of these games, I didn’t have much interest in No More Heroes 3 or the franchise at all but now I’m eager to see where Travis Touchdown ends up.
Weird ending aside, Age of Calamity is one of the best Musou crossover games ever made. This game really does capture the visuals and sound that made Breath of the Wild special, it just lacks the somber tone that defined a generation.
Even though I didn’t much care for the adventure as a whole, I am glad to now have the context of this first outing for Travis Touchdown.
The big takeaway is that Astro Bot is a series that Sony needs to continue; it really has the power to be, and basically already is, the mascot that Sony could continue to grow around.
I really enjoyed my time with Vigil: The Longest Night, and I hope to further explore the secrets of this dark world. This game punches above its weight class and I think as the game is improved with patches and hopefully more DLC it will become a genre favorite.
It is really cool that this rather obscure title has been ported to Switch and I do hope that this trend continues from NIS America. I just wish there could’ve been a couple more things tossed in to make this more appealing for a wider audience.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps on Nintendo Switch is not the best way to play this emotional, magical adventure but it is an impressive feat of engineering that mostly works well.
There’s no better way to wrap this up than to say a big thank you to Cold Symmetry for giving us a great soulslike that that hits the spot.
I think that the developers really went for their vision wholeheartedly but I think that Inmost as a game could have been much better.
I was surprised by how much I liked Hotshot Racing. It’s not normally my type of game but I had a lot of fun with it on the Nintendo Switch. I think that those that enjoy arcade racers should definitely check it out.
BPM is a playable metal opera where the instruments are guns and that’s just awesome.
Bounty Battle is not the celebration of indie game culture that I was hoping for; it is an embarrassment that should have been delayed.
Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is a decently good time. It offers more challenge than I expected but not so much so that it becomes frustrating. The original cast, the successful visual conversion to 3D, and the suitable story all come together to create one of the best tie-in games I’ve ever played.
Even years after the initial release, even after games are starting to cite Dead Cells as their main inspiration, this game is surprisingly good.
Simply said, Panzer Paladin is just super cool.
Blasphemous is beautiful. Soaked in blood and covered in grime, it is clear that so much effort and vision was put into this game.
I hope to see more game development from Walker and those that worked alongside him; I commend publishers like Another Indie that go out of their way to find these smaller projects.
