Forever Classic Games's Reviews

Oct 19, 2022

Overall, Asterigos: Curse of the Stars failed to really stand out above other games in the RPG action-adventure space for me. While the combat and leveling systems felt accommodating for both casual and tenured players of this genre, the lackluster environments and disengaging character interactions failed to hold my attention for any period of time. This game would, in my opinion, appeal to someone who is looking for a lighter adventure title centered more on the gameplay rather than the narrative.

All in all, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is fine enough and certainly a good representation of the Ghostbusters franchise. I just wish there was a bit more meat on these ghoulish bones.

The puzzles rely on weird logic, the arcade sections are dull, and the courtroom-style quizzes leave a lot to be desired, making Yurukill: The Culmination Games a title that struggles on all fronts.

Re-Pac sticks to its modest goals of creating a fun modern 3D platformer and dramatically succeeds. If you’re looking to whet your appetite with a relaxing platforming romp you’ll be in for a treat.

Justice Sucks offers cheap fun and little else. There existed some potential here for a more in-depth and robust strategy game, but the repeating mission types and thin story failed to hold much of my interest.

Give it the 80 hours it takes to finish it or the 300 hours for the entire series. It earns every second of your time.

The action is fun and the pixel art is awesome but I still don’t feel as excited about Gunvolt 3 as I would have hoped... Criticisms aside, Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 is another entry in a large franchise of titles that will surely be enjoyed by fans.

HunterX is surprisingly well-crafted where it counts. It certainly could use a patch or two but I thoroughly enjoy this type of gameplay and I cannot wait to see if ORANGE POPCORN makes another game.

All in all, if you enjoyed Hyrule Warriors and like that format mixed with the Fire Emblem setting then you should absolutely check out Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.

For fans, this is a wild ride of nostalgia but don’t expect it to be the next great spin-off from the franchise. For players outside of the Final Fantasy scene, it’s an okay beat-em-up with laugh-out-loud scenes that might make for an unforgettable weekend.
