Despite all of my trepidations, Bloober Team have exceeded expectations with their remake of Silent Hill 2, but there is still some work to do to push the game’s quality as far as possible... Regardless, this adaptation of Silent Hill 2 is brilliant and captures the overall feeling and tone of the tragedy of James Sunderland in a way that is commendable on nearly all accounts.
All in all, Pumpkin Panic is a compelling spooky twist to a simple, but fun genre. Like I have previously mentioned, the game itself isn’t terribly time-consuming and easy to fit into a single cozy afternoon.
Despite my fear of the Impossible Lair, I absolutely love this game.
All in all, it’s no surprise that Shantae and the Seven Sirens is a solid entry to the platforming franchise. Way Forward is one the most consistent development teams I’ve run into in the past decade or so and it seems like everything they touch I enjoy.
BPM is a playable metal opera where the instruments are guns and that’s just awesome.
Cyber Shadow is an excellent game full of satisfying combat, smart level design, cool boss fights, driving music, and responsive controls.
Death’s Door is a game that shows incredible understanding of subtle components that make a game more than a sum of its parts.
Though this is not a game I’d recommend binging due to its lengthy dialogue sequences, Pentiment is still a title that can pull you in for hours before you realize what has happened.
Resident Evil 4 is a must-play title of this generation and it’s a game that will likely have a lasting appeal and a measurable impact on games to come.
My Friendly Neighborhood may not have the blood and guts that many crave out of their horror experiences but it accomplishes so much without violence in a way that feels new and interesting. The world and story are fleshed out wonderfully and there’s an amazing message behind the game’s final moments.
Sea of Stars not only delivered its promise of retro-inspired RPG gameplay, but it also crafted a touching tale of friends attempting to shift the balance of good and evil for the better.
El Paso Elsewhere is steeped in emotion like an aged tea that took generations to cultivate a particular flavor. It’s a game that’s simple in its ingredients, constructed in a way that elevates each piece into a timeless piece of art.
From big smiles to rage-filled shouts of confusion, I can't stress enough how much fun I had with this game. Those who like arcade shooters, rail shooters, shmups, and anime, should undoubtedly check out Rogue Flight.
Anyone looking for an arcade-style cooperative game definitely needs to check out Pocky & Rocky Reshrined.
It’s so refreshing for Square Enix to put out a game with minimal issues, especially since there are fundamental problems that have plagued these games since arguably Final Fantasy X on PS2.
This game was the original reason I wanted a PlayStation 5 and it was well worth it.
Few tributes to gaming history pull off what Infernax has accomplished.
I'm serious when I say that the new ending and dungeon are some of the best in all Persona games. In addition, the fact that it is now portable really elevates it to the next level, as performance on the Nintendo Switch is surprisingly fantastic.
ArtePiazza and everyone involved nailed revitalizing this classic for modern audiences in practically every aspect.
Outer Wilds is a great piece of work, one absolutely deserving of titles and high praise.
