It's just a pity that Farah is not available as a playable figure, trial & error passages get out of hand at times (especially in the vehicle convoy level), the plot was constructed a bit too predictably, the variety of enemies is quite low, there is no jungle level despite numerous Mexico detours and the campaign can not be tackled in co-op mode. If you can put up with all these quirks, you will still experience seven to eight hours of leaded video game escapism.

With its innovations and other fresh and creative ideas, "Bayonetta 3" reaches a high level.

While Ilfonic who previously worked on “Predator: Hunting Grounds” and “Friday the 13th: The Game” excel at recreating the look and feel of the Ghostbusters movies, the gameplay remains relatively simple and shallow. This isn’t necessarily a title you’ll sink night after night into, but instead one to pick up now and again to play a couple of missions with friends. While it’s a bit light on the content side, the developers have a history of supporting their games long after launch with extensive updates.

If you currently only have one Switch, prefer to play solo and wanted to try out the title anyway, you will undoubtedly be thrilled what Hello Games delivers here. But also all Switch owners with a penchant for space exploration should quickly take "No Man's Sky" to their hearts.

NHL 23 is another solid outing of EA Sports Hockey-Series. The gameplay sees minor improvements, that actually makes NHL 23 surpass ist predecessor. But overall the lack of real innovation is missing and therefore experienced players may give this one a pass.

The Last Oricru is undoubtedly flawed, but underneath a rough exterior and a multitude of bugs and glitches hides a videogame made with clear passion, focusing more on an engaging story with many branching paths rather than a particularly deep combat system or polished looks. The addition of local and online co-op is remarkable and while online co-op brings with it a whole new flood of potential bugs and lag, local multiplayer works remarkably well. With a few patches and the right audience that enjoys flawed but inspired games like Elex or Greedfall, this can become a diamond in the rough.

Nevertheless, "Asterigos: Curse of the Stars" offers a surprisingly round gaming experience, especially in its price segment and genre, which does not knock anyone's socks off, but also does not deeply disappoint anyone.

All in all, "Let's Build a Zoo" unfortunately could not convince me. But maybe you like it better? I'm sure that especially experienced simulation players can get into the game much easier and appreciate and fully enjoy the many possibilities, even without the stress I slipped into.

They are not able to tear the otherwise in almost every respect better sequel into the abyss, but contribute to the fact that "Requiem" can only slightly surpass its predecessor at the end of the day.

The interspersed role-playing and character options are decent in themselves, but overall "PGA Tour 2K23" does not come close to the depth and complexity of other sports games on the market.

"Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous" is a role-playing game colossus that not only devours many hours of play, but takes you into a world packed with secrets, decisions and interesting stories.

One or the other train ride has already flown by with the relaxing construction simulator. Due to the fact that there is no time pressure and can be paused at any time, the villages can be enjoyed at any time in short doses on the go on the Switch. Although the basic gameplay is (intentionally) quite simple, you always like to return after small breaks to retreat into your very own world.

"Railgrade" is an absolute must for players who like to trim a system for efficiency. Borrowing from games like "Factorio", "Satisfactory" or even the more abstract "Magnum Opus", "Railgrade" pushes itself to the top of the genre thanks to charming presentation, short but crisp missions and an excellent price-performance ratio.

It's just a pity that the story tends to fade into the background over long stretches and is ultimately too much linked to the intensive study of the manual and the analysis of the environment. If you like exactly this kind of storytelling, you will also be fascinated by it.

In short: "FIFA 23" sets a good conclusion to almost 30 years of series history and should not disappoint fans of the series.

While the combat isn't quite as fluid as its big siblings, and the graphic style takes some time to get used to, at its core, Soulstice is a very good action game with a solid, albeit predictable, story.

NBA 2K23 leaves us torn: On the one hand, it’s an almost perfect simulation of the sport delivering a high amount of detail and gameplay-value. On the other hand, the experience is heavily harmed by microtransactions and in-game advertisements.

Return to Monkey Island is no high flyer, but a good classical adventure game, far away from disappointment. Essentially it is fan service pure. That's a huge benefit for lovers of Guybrush's adventures, but series beginners don't really profit from the mass of allusions in any area. The great puzzle design or the top voice-over do not change anything about that.

Temtem follows a rather simple premise. What if Pokémon’s first generation was made today? The result is an excellent dose of nostalgia with many modernized features such as campaign co-op and a rich endgame. It’s about time Nintendo’s stagnant franchise gets serious competition and as things stand now, Temtem is the game for those who have dropped off the main Pokémon games for lack of innovation and challenge. A relatively low price and a ton of very polished content makes this an easy recommendation.
