6 / 10.0 - Scarf
Jul 25, 2023

The game Scarf consists of a colorful, soft world held together by the adventurous story and the relationship between two different creatures. The blue creature and other creatures occasionally seem to float above the ground instead of walking. In addition, the puzzles become too repetitive at some point. However, if you are looking for a light and colorful game where you are sucked into the story, then Scarf is the game you want to play.

Aliens: Dark Descent is a real-time strategy game where you have to think hard about your choices. The story isn't Oscar-worthy, but it's still compelling enough to enjoy Aliens: Dark Descent. You have to be a real fan of the movies and this genre game, otherwise you will get bored quickly.

Skautfold: Usurper is a Metroidvania that misses the mark with every attempt. from the boring gameplay that also feels unbalanced to the bad story, there is little to find that grabs the attention.

Crash Team Rumble is a PvP Party game with a lot of potential but little to offer. There is a lot of fun to be had, but a lot still needs to be done to become a real hit. Perhaps the game will be much more worthwhile after some updates.

6.5 / 10.0 - Park Beyond
Jul 1, 2023

Park Beyond takes you into the mind of a manager who must ensure that an amusement park runs smoothly and brings in money. Sounds interesting, but we already know this formula from Planet Coaster. Park Beyond borrows a lot of elements from that game and that makes Park Beyond feel like a cheap clone in a new jacket. Certainly not a bad game, because customizing your roller coaster yourself is a fun option. Don't expect too much from it though, because it's fun for an afternoon and then you're done.

Final Fantasy XVI is a beautiful game that takes a slightly different approach than its predecessors. Brutal, tempo action with accessibility for everyone is what you can expect.

8.5 / 10.0 - F1 23
Jun 24, 2023

F1 23 does exactly what we missed in F1 22. Braking Point is back and quite entertaining. In addition, there are different modes where you can test your skills and there are also opportunities to learn how to race with fewer tools. The new track, Las Vegas, drives great and visually F1 23 has been polished up here and there. F1 23 is mainly intended for the fans and these fans will therefore drive the necessary kilometers to be the new virtual Max Verstappen or Lewis Hamilton.

3 / 10.0 - Shame Legacy
Jun 8, 2023

For one a challenge, but for the other a real case - my controller ends up in the wall - frustration game. The story of Shame Legacy takes time to unfold. However, that is not the only thing you have to be patient with. You will have to hide or crawl regularly. This quickly becomes repetitive. In addition, it is easily detected and then killed. So you will have to play some parts repeatedly. The puzzles provide a welcome change from sneaking.

Daedalic Entertainment brings us an unimportant chapter starring one of the key characters of Tolkien's legendarium. The controls are frustrating, visually not everything is pulled out of the closet and there is repetition after repetition of boring levels that do not advance the plot fast enough. Moreover, theoretically interesting mechanics do not add essential differences. 'The Lord of the Rings: Gollum' is mainly a missed opportunity.

8.5 / 10.0 - Dark Quest 3
Jun 3, 2023

Dark Quest 3 gives you a solid roguelite tabletop single player experience with a touch of deck building. There is plenty of content to discover. Think of different event cards such as a battle, a trait test or obtaining items. Collecting crystals in your run will unlock various resources. Think of new heroes, an alternative appearance for a hero, item cards, extra healing potions or extra gold.

6.5 / 10.0 - LEGO 2K Drive
May 31, 2023

At first glance, LEGO 2K Drive is exactly what you would expect from a game with this title: an open world racing game in which the vehicles, characters and large parts of the game world are built from the well-known toy blocks. The concept will be familiar to people who played the LEGO Racer series in the early 2000s.

5 / 10.0 - After Us

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a direct sequel to the acclaimed Breath of the Wild. That's why Nintendo has kept the world largely the same. The game offers fun gameplay as you are used to from the series with the focus again on the fun of exploration.

'Bramble: The Mountain King' is a puzzle platformer with a necessary dose of horror elements. This well-known concept comes with some unique additions so that the game can distinguish itself from the rest. It is very linear and has very little replay value. Nevertheless, the beautiful images, through the strong use of light, provide an experience that will leave your eyes open. A top of an indie game.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set five years after Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Cal Kestis is still trying to evade the Empire. Cal has now gained the necessary experience and you as a player can continue his adventure. New planets are visited that are also a lot bigger than in the previous part. Don't worry, you can now accelerate to certain places on those planets without having to go through everything. The necessary improvements have been made and the fact that you can now learn your own fighting style is a big plus. Unfortunately, the game sometimes drops some stitches in the technical field, but that does not make fighting with a lightsaber any less.

8.5 / 10.0 - Dead Island 2
May 1, 2023

Despite the fact that the game is simplistic, it turned out that this is precisely the great strength of Dead Island 2. With a drop in, drop out co-op system, it is a good place to be. There is nothing to complain about in terms of graphics. On current-gen hardware, the 60fps graphics flow across your screen. The detail in the environment is sharp and the audio is wonderfully creepy with muffled screams in the distance and gurgling zombies up close.
