Resident Evil 4 Remake is absolutely an excellent update of a classic, it is brought to the present day another pearl of the saga, which has given so many joys to Capcom and players who follow it. It's not perfect, but it manages to reach an excellent level of quality, perhaps higher than what was achieved with the remake of Resident Evil 2. Designed to please both those who play it for the first time and the most familiar and knowledgeable. The new audience does have a fantastic experience and a journey worth living, while veterans will remember all the moments already experienced, and exalt themselves with the novelties, especially in the enhanced gameplay component and the beautiful visuals. There is a lot of content that is now refined, a stay that took almost 18 hours to complete, played in the calm and without completing all the additional objectives.

Cereza and the Lost Demon arrives shortly after Bayonetta 3, but does not deserve to stay in its shadow. It's a merit-overflowing spinoff that tells an appealing and lovely origin story. At the same time, it features an evolved and more complex version of the gameplay system we had previously seen in Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Adding it all up, a big surprise, which goes beyond what is typically expected of a game that is outside the main line. It applies to both those who played the previous ones and who will meet this character for the first time.

Octopath Traveler 2 shows that Square Enix and Acquire have managed to evolve over the intended plans for the former. It's not a revolution, it's a splendid evolution that results in a new golden page for the company. It is a JRPG for all who grew up with the classics of the era of 90, but also a magnificent starting point for those who want to discover the genre. The aesthetic is perfect and has contributed immensely to its charm, as well as the characters, also the combat system boasts quality, although simple is challenging, while the soundtrack is a stunning company for more than 80 hours of content that you do not want to stop discovering. There are few games of this range and our mission is to carve them.

No Recommendation / Blank - Scars Above
Mar 7, 2023

Scars Above will seek inspiration from many other works, but it does not emerge at any of the points it has carried. Poor quality of kinematics and dialogues, rudimentary and frustrating gameplay that reveals almost no motion capture, and dubious visual quality. A project that has to be looked at outside the most demanding levels of a high-profile, budgeted title below. You don't ask for a full price, nor could you, but even with a more desirable price I can't recommend it, fail the most important, reward the player for the hours you play it, and that Scars Above can't do it.

This is one of those highly difficult games that will easily take you apart, but when you triumph, you reach ecstasy. The difficulty is overcome in many ways, can be with good reflexes for the most capable, increased morale to defeat enemies or with flags, farm levels to balance the challenge or recruiting the help of NPCs or players. It's another electrifying Team Ninja experience that refined a lot about what you did in Nioh, but found on the bypass button a mechanic that injects great energy.

I haven't played Kirby's Forgotten Land yet, the first 3D adventure of this adorable character, just as I haven't played this adventure in the original Wii format. But aiming here for a return to the origins, this Deluxe version offers more content and a more contrasting and colorful definition of the characters and worlds presented. Copy skills are once again the highlight of this adventure, as they have many effects and possibilities of blows, combined with an immense extension in levels and mini-games, many of these contemplated in Megoland but also in magolor's ship. If Forgotten Land offered us open spaces and worlds in 3D, here the return to the origins returns us to the brightness and depth of the 2.5D of the levels presented in multiple segments.

No Recommendation / Blank - Atomic Heart
Feb 20, 2023

It is understood that this is Mundfish's first game, but there is a lack of connection in the rhythms of the game and how things evolve. The narrative becomes a footnote and even pushed me away from what I was actually doing there. Despite some good times and things well presented, some coming from other games mentioned throughout the analysis, can not stand out when everything is added up. There is a lot of recycling in this whole journey, too many puzzles and too often to do the same. It could be saved by the narrative, but the final twist does not have the necessary impact. Following a line lacking in importance, a global confrontation moves to something so small and limited to a singularity.

Recommended - Like a Dragon: Ishin!
Feb 20, 2023

Like a Dragon: Ishin! it's another game with ryu Ga Gotoku's quality seal. It doesn't do anything new in the series, but by transporting you to Kyo in the 1860s, you can combine the feel of a historical and credible experience with the dramatic theatricality of the Like a Dragon series. It has everything good that you love in this series, has gameplay capable of making you lose the sense of hours, but also has a strong sense of familiarity and absence of relief news. On the scales, they gain their pros and it is one of my favorite games in the Like a Dragon series.

If there's a game that convinces me that virtual reality has legs to walk, this is it. Like the medium to which it belongs, it is still not perfect, but it is still an impressive experience. It's one of the best views I've ever seen of virtual reality.

Recommended - Returnal
Feb 15, 2023

Returnal was a beautiful surprise in 2021 and remains a magnificent experience in 2023. This jump to the PC allows you to reach your full potential, both visually and in performance. Break free from the restraints imposed by the console hardware. Stretch etha and fly at full speed for an experience that few video games can deliver. If you were waiting for his arrival on the PC then you can't even blink, it's an acquisition without reticence. If you're impressed by what Housemarque was able to do on PS5, you'll be left with this new version created with the help of Climax Studios. Returnal is crystalclear and giddy adrenaline.

Feb 15, 2023

Unlike the Chronicles version for PS3 in 2013, Tales of Symphonia Remaster does not disappoint in the technical and graphic component. The 60fps would be the icing on the cake, but there are other arguments and general improvements here that also deserve attention. It is a cult classic of the JRPGs and a son of a generation with a methodology of its own and therefore must be celebrated and caressed.

By creating a 3D metroidvania played in the first person, Retro Studios entered unexplored territory and created a new era of possibility, but it is its methodology of demand and progression design that make it an unwavering reference. Retro Studios' original design remains glorious and Metroid Prime Remastered is a sensational recalling of this golden page on Nintendo's resume. After 20 years, it is still a memorable game, a work of art of interactive entertainment. Presented in a version that updates the controls, improves graphics and performance in impressive ways, to the point of approaching the concept of remake, it is a game that crosses generations and still deserves to be played, studied and caries with force.

No Recommendation / Blank - Wild Hearts
Feb 13, 2023

This is just a review in progress, but for now, Wild Hearts seems too close to Monster Hunter most of the time. The introduction of the Karakuri in the gameplay is an asset, but from the i played so far the feeling of déjà vu is constant. So far, it seems to me an inferior imitation and it still needs a few adjustments to be ready. The launch is already this week, february 16th, so let's see what the team can do until then.

No Recommendation / Blank - OddBallers
Feb 8, 2023

With classic and customizable matches online or local up to 6 players, Oddballers when pairing players offers a very fluid cadence of matches and mini-games filled with caricata, challenging situations, with plenty of game of the woods to the mix. The constant "loop" of these mini-games in operation to the end makes the experience quite fun, in which winning requires skill but also some luck. It is undoubtedly a successful game, although not as vast in options and mini-games as a Mario Party. Despite the guarantee of "crossplay" my fear is in the creation and maintenance of a community. Without it only by local route you can survive and still may not be enough. The matches are fluid but we dispute some with lag, to the point of forcing disconnection. Ubisoft has an interesting proposal here but the future of the game may be doomed or secured by whether or not there is additional content and community formation.

Recommended - Hogwarts Legacy
Feb 6, 2023

If you're already a Harry Potter fan, there will certainly be something for you at Hogwarts Legacy, even with a completely different range of characters from the one you're used to. The music, the different classrooms, the ghosts wandering around, the paintings on the walls, the poltergeist Peeves, it's all so nostalgic that, for a moment, I returned to my adolescence. If you're not entirely familiar with the Harry Potter lore, it'll be a little harder to understand some of the game's mechanics, but don't worry: you still have a huge world to explore, dozens of puzzles, collectibles and creatures to capture. Who knows, your journey into the world of sorcery begins here!

Recommended - Hi-Fi Rush
Feb 2, 2023

The characters are charismatic and humorous. The soundtrack, featuring official songs from Nine Inch Nails, The Black Keys, and The Prodigy, is sensational. In the end, there's no desire to repeat the levels, explore what's left behind (there are a few doors you can only open after the end of the game), and fine-tune the pace of our combos. Hifi Rush is guaranteed fun.

No Recommendation / Blank - SEASON: A letter to the future
Jan 27, 2023

Season: A Letter to the Future is the latest example of an indie adventure about exploration and meddling, able to leave you totally in love with the approach to the themes explored here. It is a pity that the technical component is having several problems and lacks refinement to elements such as the camera and controls. As food for the soul, Season: A Letter to the Future is an intriguing relaxed, a good break from the mega-blockbusters that occupy most of our time, but as a game, they should have gone further to create a more striking memory.

No Recommendation / Blank - Forspoken
Jan 27, 2023

With Forspoken's credits on screen, there's a clear feeling that Luminous Productions' good ideas deserved a much better run and less mess. Many of the mistakes of Final Fantasy 15 have again been made in Forspoken, with so many others on top serving as an excessive burden for what good can do. Parkour's frantic gameplay with magic and narrative deserved better design and execution, not to mention the graphical component, performance, and key elements like the camera. Forspoken has its charm, but makes serious mistakes.

As a result, this remake of Dead Space obviously manages to largely supplant the original. It gives you a new life and a phenomenal rejuvenation. In this way, it reaches a new audience of players who are thirsty for titles of this genre and with a quality label, but also gratifys all the unconditional followers and fans of the franchise. It is a game that should not be lost, has to be played and tried down to its smallest detail. An almost perfect remake, as it should be. It glorifies the legacy built in 2008, later perfected in 2011 in Dead Space 2. Well, now I'm going to pack my bags and luggage for the New Game+. Cut off their limbs.

Recommended - Fire Emblem Engage
Jan 17, 2023

All combined results in an experience that based on traditional bases and the foundations that have earned the series, is better overall, both in terms of argument as in the equipment management system and the combat system. By carrying the heroes of other campaigns through the emblems, Engage seems to risk everything for the sake of a narrative that gives all the guarantees, even when it ends up punching the player's stomach. The outfit and the character's character are other reinforced elements, as well as the remarkable voice work, both in Japanese and English. With the combat system, leisure options in Somniel and equipment management reinforced, Emblem reaches a new level in the growth of the series. It's my favorite Fire Emblem.
