Digimon Survive felt like a game that wasn’t supposed to be one in the first place. The glimpses of brilliance being presented in the narrative are tainted by a tactics-based combat system that felt like it belonged to a forgettable mobile game rather than a release that was meant to celebrate 25 years of a long recognizable brand.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is a solid PC port of a great game. While it may not be a groundbreaking open-world title, it still packs entertaining gameplay and a great story that will make for a fun experience. Plus, the PC version runs well on both high-end and low-end hardware that we tested.
Two Point Campus delivers the same quirkiness and gameplay as its predecessor, but it's more than just a reskinned version of Two Point Hospital. It has its own unique personality that will delight during hours of gameplay. Though the gameplay itself could be confusing for the uninitiated to the genre, the pacing is good enough to let you understand the mechanics so that you don't get flooded with too much information.
MADiSON is a great horror experience that will make your skin crawl, your heart pounding, and your eyes and ears begging to be covered. Developer Bloodious Games does an amazing job at building up tension through simple game mechanics and immersive environments. While some of the puzzles could use some tweaking, the game is still technically impressive and terrifying in all the right ways.
Stray is a surprisingly fun game with beautiful visuals and just the right amount of challenge. If you're a pet owner who's into puzzle platformers, you'll have a great time here.
MX vs. ATV Legends feels outdated, out-polished, and outran by some of its competitors in the motocross genre. There are tidbits of fun to be had in the experience but it feels more frustrating to play with the number of technical flaws present.
Sonic Origins is undeniably fun with faithful recreations of the original games that represented the peak of the franchise. It, however, loses its momentum with unnecessary DLC that taints an otherwise charming love letter that celebrates 30 years for everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog.
OlliOlli World: VOID Riders is a welcome addition to the base game as it features lots of fun levels. And while it's difficulty may be on the tougher side (especially if you haven't beat the main game yet), it's a fun challenge overall with lots of cool additions.
The Quarry's pacing can be a tad slow, but it is short enough not to overstay its welcome before getting to a more tense pace. But the tension was not transferred onto the gameplay where choices acted as more of a respite during these hectic scenarios. Still, despite some questionable moments, it is pretty engaging game with a high replay value.
If you like investigative dramas and are interested in something that's more interactive than your typical TV show, Centennial Case might be up your alley.
Despite its initial glitches and issues, Warhammer 40k Chaos Gate - Daemon Hunters is a challenging game with many unique mechanics that sets it apart from other turn based tactical RPGs, all while having a challenging yet compelling difficulty. This makes it a game that we recommend highly to big Warhammer 40k fans.
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is a must-play for players who want to experience an impressive story with memorable characters, as well as surprisingly compelling real-time strategy gameplay.
The Skywalker Saga not only features an improved version of the classic Lego Star Wars gameplay, it also lets players experience the Star Wars saga in a fun and joyful way, as well as allowing them to explore the series' iconic locations thanks to large, semi-open world levels.
Edge of Eternity is a passion project by those people who really love JRPGs putting together. While it is a bit rough around the edges, there are great ideas here and some things to love, including a fair battle system and beautiful crafted world.
The Hong Kong is a stylish top-down shooter that, while not being the most original game out there, is an enjoyable experience.
Ghostwire: Tokyo is a game with an excellent atmosphere and great visuals but is let down by average gameplay and a forgettable story.
Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin offers a counterintuitive experience that has terrible presentation and an unintentionally hilarious narrative. It’s slightly saved by a fairly enjoyable combat and job system. Take both of those away, and this game will feel more like a parody of the legendary franchise.
Dungeon Encounters is what you get when you take solid JRPG combat and overall gameplay, but without lengthy dialogue and colorful visuals. If you want a JRPG simply for gameplay, this is a solid buy, but it might not be for RPG fans who want more in terms of story and visuals.
Developer Visual Concepts show how much they learned from their mistakes with WWE 2K22. A fantastic visual overhaul, more engaging gameplay changes, and extensive customization features make this a compelling purchase for wrestling fans who have been starving for a polished game. The extra featured modes show a lot of promise and it’ll be interesting to see how the franchise improves upon what is established right now.
Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is the franchise’s best expansion to date. A great story coupled with exciting new gameplay changes make this an amazing experience we have all been waiting and asking for. The future is looking really bright for the game and the only complaint I have is that I have to wait for all of it.
