The Falconeer may not nail the “perch” as well as one may hope but this unique air combat game offers enough unique combat and flying mechanics to make it worthwhile despite its story and mission variety issues.
Way more content than expected, encapsulating the very best of the Mortal Kombat franchise.
Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory may be just fan service of sorts, but it is also one of the most enjoyable rhythm action titles to come along in years.
While it doesn’t change much from its predecessor Death end re;Quest 2 tells a gripping tale that combines great horror themes with solid RPG mechanics that will surprise most players.
The only good thing about this remake is that it's a great example of how not to do one.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla offers perhaps the biggest most content filled world to explore yet in a lore filled land where combat is king while stealth still takes a step back compared to previous entries.
Destiny 2: Beyond Light doesn’t fix all that is wrong with the original game, but it is the first of many in the right direction.
The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is a noticeable improvement as it spins a mysteriously horrifying tale that still ends up lacking in some areas.
Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues will certainly be acceptable to fans as it does capture the product it is representing. That said, as a video game, and a beat-em up at that – it simply feels far too rushed and rough to recommend. Strike Hard, Strike First, No Mercy...ish
Yakuza: Like a Dragon takes big risks and becomes a slightly flawed but highly enjoyable RPG that takes the over-the-top nature of the Yakuza series and turns it up a notch.
Undead Darlings ~ no cure for love ~’s story outshines its dungeon crawling but this unpolished gem of a visual novel RPG proves to be well worth delving into.
Watch Dogs: Legion tries something new and it serves as both the game’s biggest strength and a small weakness as the amount of variety at every turn makes this a game players will constantly want to sink time into.
Shantae: Risky’s Revenge still holds up well, and despite the fact that we have seen it ported before, its inclusion on the Switch was executed with love and finesse.
Ben 10: Power Trip is honestly a fun, innocent game that shows the developers at least cared enough to create something special.
Nexomon: Extinction features a great story and some unique changes to a familiar formula that both help and hinder the experience, making it something great for fans of the genre but not quite up to the level of a certain series.
Crash 4: It’s About Time isn’t as much of a rebirth as it is a reminder. The Crash games were a lot of fun and many were able to get into platformers through this franchise alone.
Tell Me Why features a compelling mystery that loses its depth the longer the story progresses but its strong characters and solid puzzles prove that Dontnod hasn’t missed a step.
Giraffe and Annika may be a bit too simple for its own good but its childlike charm makes for a light and delightful adventure game.
While it's one of the better stories in the franchise, the terrible mission design hobbles the DLC. This is not the DLC Borderlands 3 deserved to go out on.
Mafia: Definitive Edition is a shining example of how a game should be remade. While there are a few issues related to the PC port, animation quality, and how well the gameplay has aged; the updates were focused on maintaining the spirit of game while bringing it into the modern era.
