Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will, undoubtedly, be the most talked-about, and divisive, titles in the series for several years now. The havoc, in technical terms, wrought by Game freak cannot be ignored, and the history of "transitional chapters" can no longer stand as a solid bulwark of defense against the developers.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare II offers exactly what was expected: no revolution and a few changes to further improve the multiplayer mode, which stands as the best in years thanks to its gunplay.

God of War Ragnarok is a massive and imposing title that, to a large extent, embraces and embraces the principle of 'bigger and better' that one would always hope for when facing a title that is a sequel to a title of the magnitude of its predecessor. The gameplay is an enhanced version of the 2018 chapter and has the merit of offering interesting variations for many, many hours to keep the player's attention.

Star Ocean The Divine Force is therefore at the end of the day a solid new entry in the saga, one that maintains its action jRPG soul thanks to gameplay that is both frenetic and tactical. A title that would certainly have benefited a lot from a bigger budget, see for example for a graphic technical aspect that is not up to the mark, but that nevertheless manages to entertain and give everything one could have expected. In short, if you love the genre and the series, don't underestimate it.

Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord is a well-crafted, but too shallow blend of genres. While the 3D combat is realistic and immersive, the strategic aspects of the title lack detail, making the campaign monotonous and leading the player to repeat the same actions almost mechanically. You will have hours of fun if you like to take part in first-person shoot-outs, otherwise you might get bored quickly. In any case, I recommend playing the title in the PC version and not on consoles.

Gunfire Reborn is a loot and shooter FPS with roguelite elements that is inspired, enjoyable, convincing and exciting. In addition to offering hours and hours of fun, it features an essential yet excellently implemented game design that entertains thanks to a dynamic, fluid gunplay that never loses its punch even after fifteen hours of play. Despite a few technical stumbling blocks, it is a video game that presents itself on consoles in top form.

Bayonetta 3 is spectacle, hilarity, excitement. It is a rollercoaster of situations born with the precise intention of creating a bombastic mosaic of gameplay that can always offer something new and surprise when you least expect it. The courage and audacity of the developers shine through from chapter to chapter

Serial Cleaners tries to take a leap forward from its predecessor, but manages to barely make a dent: while the graphics and narrative are indeed improved, giving us a colourful and enjoyable 90s-tinged work, the gameplay still has shortcomings.

The PC porting of Triangle Strategy certainly won't go down in history as a state-of-the-art operation, but it still allows us to enjoy Square Enix's excellent turn-based strategy game and its intriguing narrative on that platform as well, and at higher resolutions. In short, if you haven't had a chance to pick it up yet and are a fan of the genre, it's definitely time to give Triangle Strategy a chance. You won't regret it.

Victoria 3 is a winner across the board. The title confidently takes up the baton of one of the Paradox sagas most mythologised by users, carefully avoids grafting arduous or uninspiring superstructures, and inserts the winning elements of the latest domestic strategy games to deliver a complete, complex but (virtually) for all experience.

Gotham Knights is the worthy heir to Batman. Net of an optimisation that is not in line with the art proposed and a city that is not very engaging in its entirety, the work is a triumph of love for those who love the genre. Each of the four protagonists has memorable play and narrative traits.

New Tales from the Borderlands is ultimately the worthy continuation of a dream pursued a few years ago. As well as being further proof of maturity on the part of Gearbox Software, it is a demonstration of how important it is to build a good story on certain occasions. Net of a gameplay that doesn't innovate much, we are in front of a production that is a must for every fan and, who knows, even for those who can't do without the Borderlands universe.

Batora: Lost Haven is an Italian production that convinces and satisfies from start to finish. The lively art style and varied gameplay make the work of Stormind Games one of the most appreciable Italian titles of recent years.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is an ambitious sequel, allowing Asobo Studio to demonstrate how far the development team has come in just three years since the first chapter. Although from a gameplay point of view there are still a few imperfections that need improvement, the De Rune brothers' adventure is addictive, engrossing and capable of conveying that anxious sense of stealth.

Having come to the end of this lengthy analysis, all I can say is that I wish there were many more productions made with the same care as Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope. Ubisoft Milan's new work is qualitatively, and content-wise, to be commended in virtually every way.

Scorn was intended to be an extremely impactful experience, capable of transporting the player into a world that is, in its own way, astonishing.

The number '2' next to the word Overwatch is just a number, nothing more. Before the title can take the final form of an actual sequel, we should most likely wait until 2023. Changes to heroes, maps, game modes, and twists to Overwatch's economic model seem more like part of a major update. As a hero shooter, however, Overwatch 2 is still galvanising, and the shift to 5vs5 matches has created a new balance between strategy and brashness.

PC Building Simulator 2 is a legitimate sequel to the 2019 title, improving on the modes already present and adding elements that make the gameplay more enjoyable.

Lost Judgment was already a very good game on consoles and is even better now on PC, where a good conversion succeeds in making the computer the best platform on which to enjoy Yagami's second adventure.

Grounded is among the most enjoyable survival experiences of recent years, and it is almost strange to emphasise this given that the title was not even supposed to exist. Obsidian, albeit with a small team, has crafted a stylistically original product, not without flaws, but composed of all those qualities with which the American team has always distinguished itself with its video games: quality writing, design and effective world building.
