We had to wait almost 20 years for it but there is finally a new skill on OSRS. Sailing is still a bit rough in certain areas and could certainly use some fine tuning. In the past, Jagex has proven several times to make passive skills such as fishing and wood cutting intuitively interesting again. I am therefore convinced that in the future they will also put sods on the dike in terms of Sailing. The new skill is bite through in the beginning and only becomes really interesting from level 30. The community of OSRS and Jagex have together mainly created an opportunity for much more in Gielinor. Old School RuneScape has become even 'bigger' and especially 'better' thanks to Sailing.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment has positively surprised me and convinced me of a genre that I previously left behind. Although I had no interest in the Dynasty Warriors series, I have become a fan of the collaboration between Nintendo and Koei Tecmo. This is mainly because the story fits nicely with Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The game performs excellently on the Nintendo Switch 2, with impressive visuals, a pleasant atmosphere and smooth gameplay. The chaotic, but spectacular battles are very impressive, and with nineteen playable characters there is plenty of variety. Still, the gameplay sometimes feels repetitive. All in all, I end my review with a very positive feeling about the game.

It may be a half miracle but Black Ops 7 is a damn strong shooter. The futuristic setting brings a lot of fun new toys in a familiar formula that is basically just good. This year's smooth multiplayer includes handsome, dynamic maps and fun new game modes. Zombies can also show off the new content. There is enough to get excited about, although the co-op campaign is half a mistake. With friends it is sometimes fun but in itself it is repetitive and bland. Fortunately, this is far from enough reason to break down COD this year. This FPS, just like my gravemaker sniper, shoots powerfully through the walls of criticism.

Highlands Fishing brings Farming Simulator 25 to the Scottish Highlands and introduces aquaculture and fish. The new Kinlaig map and the integration of fisheries into the economic cycle are top. Yet fishing itself remains too superficial and technically fickly to really convince. A nice extra for the avid farmer, but it is certainly not a full-fledged fish simulation.

Lumines Arise is an ode to a puzzle classic that still hasn't lost its magic. The hypnotic interplay of music and addictive gameplay remains unique. The Burst mode gives just enough extra spice to keep the formula fresh. Yet the whole thing feels more like a limited evolution than a real Lumines revolution. For fans of the fun puzzle games, this is an absolute must. But those looking for radical Lumines renewal will be captivated here for less time.

Anno 117: Pax Romana is an impressive, layered city builder that beautifully translates the grandeur of the Roman Empire into a strategic sandbox. The game shines in its world structure, atmosphere and mechanical depth. But the rough edges are just as clear: a slow start and a sometimes overcrowded interface. Do you fancy a game where quiet growth, prestige and freedom of choice are central? Then it can be on your wishlist.

Unfortunately, my fear has become reality. Where the first game was one of the most pleasant surprises of 2021 for me, Tormented Souls 2 is perhaps the biggest disappointment of 2025. Although the game builds on the solid foundation of the first part, a poor gameplay balance and technical deblets kill the game. The PC version was clearly not yet ready to be launched. Chances are that I will give Tormented Souls 2 a second chance at a later date. Hopefully by then I won't have to be afraid of losing my progress.

In the end, Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition is just like a trip to space in a Pontiac Fiero: a ridiculous idea that should never have seen the light of day. This game is not worth your money, neither on console nor on an arcade cabinet. Although I understand the latter since you will play this once, lose a euro or two, you turn yourself around and never look in your rearview mirror again. If Dominic Toretto asks you for this one: Ride or die? Do yourself a favor and choose the last option, and give your hard-earned money and time to a better chest on wheels.

Is this remaster a bad game? No, not at all. It proves that the genre has remained largely the same in the last two decades. But it also proves that Bandai Namco's Tales remasters always run the same way. The game gets a new coat of paint, the frame rate is increased and made more accessible to a modern audience. There's nothing wrong with that either, but how many Tales remasters can you play before you get tired of them?

Once Upon a Katamari isn’t a game for everyone, and certainly not for the masses. It is and remains a unique concept, and as is often the case with highly original games, it has its fans and its detractors. You can finish the game in a solid 7 hours, but it feels like you’ve spent 7 wonderful hours at an excellent spa, because this is pure relaxation at its finest. So grab that ball and start rolling to your heart’s content!

After about 20 hours of playing Football Manager 26, I haven’t been bored for a single second. I’ve caught the tactical bug thanks to the depth and detail that FM26 offers. Still, in addition to annoying questions from the press, I also ran into a few bugs that completely threw me off my game at times. Despite this, I’m convinced that Sports Interactive listens to its community and will fix these issues starting day one. It is and remains overwhelming at times for this tactical novice, but with every FM session, I learn a little more. The tactical rabbit hole I’ve fallen into has become a reality and has left me with a mild FM addiction. RoMa, my promise to win the Champions League with Beveren, will one day come true!

I have to admit that I never thought I’d spend more than 25 hours on a Pokémon game at the age of 43, but I’ve had a blast. As a player returning after 11 years, Pokémon Legends: Z-A feels refreshing and fun. The real-time combat—the biggest change in years—feels great. Lumiose City is a fun place to hang out, but there could have been a bit more to it in that regard. There’s plenty to do, without ever getting boring. Graphically, it’s not top-notch, but the game runs incredibly smoothly. The lack of voice-overs is a bit of a letdown. If I’m not mistaken, there are a total of 230 Pokémon to collect, plus 60 Mega Evolutions on top of that, so what are you waiting for? “Gotta catch ’em all.”

Ready or Not is intense, immersive, and not without its flaws. But it does offer a unique experience that’s perfect for fans of tactical, realistic shooters.

With *The Outer Worlds 2*, Obsidian has scored a hit for the third time in a row this year. This brand-new sci-fi shooter—and full-fledged RPG—has everything you’d expect from the team behind *Fallout: New Vegas*. Check out that Fairfield vibe—that’s Fallout, right? And that music? That’s Fallout, right? And that super-extensive skill and perk system? That’s Fallout, right? Honestly? I had a blast, wasn’t bored for a second, and experimented with the many possibilities in crafting, dialogues, modding, skills, perks, and weapons. The fact that the game world looks absolutely stunning, the gunplay is smooth, fun, and challenging, and the characters actually have depth makes the overall experience even better. You know what, I’m going to stop writing because Arcadia needs me. My advice: play the game, discover and experience it all for yourself, and above all, write your own story. You’ll thank me later!

Godbreakers is a game that is technically impressive, stylish, and at times downright addictive. But that divine power isn’t without its flaws. While the combat initially captivated me, it starts to feel repetitive after a few hours; while the co-op shines, the solo experience falls a bit flat; and while the concept is intriguing, the narrative remains in the background. GODBREAKERS offers a solid dose of fun, especially in co-op, and shows how kinetic action should be brought to a console.

And so this review of Ninja Gaiden 4 suddenly doubles as an obituary. Because just a few days ago, Tomonobu Itagaki, the creator of Ninja Gaiden, passed away at the age of 58. And although he had nothing to do with the fourth installment, the franchise owes its existence to his creative spirit. Rest in peace, senpai! Ninja Gaiden 4 is the perfect starting point for anyone who has never played a game in the franchise. Even gamers put off by the difficulty of the previous games need not panic. This is a thoroughly modern game that you can play on your own terms. Forget the generic locations and enemies: throw yourself fully into the masterful combat and enjoy all the bloody brutality that Ninja Gaiden 4 has to offer!

Keeper is a stunningly psychedelic, immersive adventure that completely captivated me. Double Fine proves once again that they are masters at creating worlds that you don’t just play, but fully experience. Through intuition, I discovered a beautiful world that was just as surprised to see me walking past as I was to see the lighthouse. Fans of slow-paced, immersive, and visually unique games absolutely must play this. And the fact that Keeper is available for just around 30 euros, and is also available via Xbox Game Pass, is a huge bonus!

Pac-Man World 2 Repack is yet another remaster in an endless string of remasters. The game is still fun, and its simplicity will certainly appeal to a younger audience, but there’s really little reason to buy it.

After spending dozens of hours jumping through time and between worlds for this review, one feeling stands out above all others: *Digimon Story: Time Stranger* is a surprisingly mature and polished *Digimon* title. It combines classic JRPG mechanics with modern quality-of-life features and a high-quality audiovisual experience. It’s not perfect: the pacing could be tighter, the side missions more engaging, and the English voice acting of higher quality, but what Time Stranger does otherwise, it does well. Fans of Pokémon, Palworld, and of course Digimon will love this, and newcomers like myself get a great entry point into the franchise. Monster collectors, we have some great weeks ahead with Pokémon Legends: Z-A and this Digimon Story: Time Stranger. You can’t have it all.

Battlefield 6 is a very polished FPS that plays it a bit too safe. The bar for this series is set incredibly high: you get a solid shooter with impressive graphics (though the improvement is minimal), fantastic audio, and smooth gameplay. This latest installment places more emphasis on close-quarters combat without forgetting its roots. There are simply fewer memorable moments without Behemoths, Levelution, or dynamic weather. That “tactical destruction” is a bit more of a letdown than it is a source of “wow” moments. Tactical teamwork with your squad remains a true pleasure on the bombastic battlefields. Still, I expect just a little more from my beloved series.
