Dying Light: The Beast will not disappoint fans of the series, offering frenetic, brutal, and fun gameplay. The game, in all respects, presents itself as a 360° upgrade on the classic hallmarks of the series, without revolutionizing a formula that, despite its ups and downs, has worked brilliantly for years. The parkour is more fluid than ever, the melee is unparalleled, and the attention to detail in the game world is astonishing. Aside from a few niggles here and there and the introduction of a less-than-elaborate stealth segment, what remains is a top-notch experience and, arguably, the best installment in the series.

85 / 100 - NBA 2K26
Sep 23, 2025

NBA 2K26 offers interesting gameplay additions and a whole host of small touches that further enhance the audiovisual experience. Content-wise, some welcome changes have been made (such as the single-player story mode), although in other areas, substantial changes are largely minor. The issue of microtransactions remains unresolved, as well as a certain difficulty navigating the game's sea of menus and options. Despite this, it remains one of the best sports games out there.

80 / 100 - Metal Eden
Sep 10, 2025

While it lacks a deep personality, Metal Eden is a top-notch sci-fi shooter, packed with action and adrenaline. The gameplay is lightning-fast, the mechanics are clever, and the style is well-researched, including the design, music, and gameplay. The production has its limitations, especially in terms of overall replayability, but these will likely be ironed out over time. Regardless, Metal Eden remains a high-quality experience at a relatively reasonable price.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a top-notch remake that manages to be both respectful of the past and significantly alter its essence. The game is a legendary chapter in an immortal saga, so its value as a game is undeniable. Konami has introduced several new features, both in terms of gameplay and content, although the game still shows its age in some aspects. Aside from a few minor technical issues (including a less than flawless fluidity), the nostalgia effort can easily be described as a success.

79 / 100 - Killing Floor 3
Aug 1, 2025

Killing Floor 3 is a good game, flaws aside. In fact, in its best games, it still manages to deliver the same adrenaline, cooperation, and bloody thrills as it did in the past. But it's also a product that seems to be chasing modern trends—monetization, battle passes, seasonal content—to the detriment of the arcade purity that made the series so beloved. If you're playing with a group of friends and looking for a PvE experience filled with chaos and monsters, Killing Floor 3 has a lot to offer. But if you were expecting a sequel faithful to the spirit of the second installment, you might be disappointed by a whole series of systems and subsystems that, overall, weigh down the overall gaming experience.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is a good action game in the roguelike style, with a lovely aesthetic that's "respectful" of the comic book tradition, as well as overall solid and fun gameplay. The co-op mode adds several levels of fun and strategy to the game, which, however, suffers from the classic problems of (almost) all titles in the genre: irremediable and irreversible repetitiveness. That said, at a very affordable price, the game could prove to be an unexpectedly valuable time-killer, especially if you have a friend to play it with.

80 / 100 - Rematch
Jul 1, 2025

Rematch is an absolutely fun and sui generis football game, a real low-cost alternative to more famous (and in some ways, stale) productions. Unique design, excellent controls and a simple and addictive gameplay will help immerse us in an infinite loop of play. High-level images and animations confirm once again Sloclap as one of the best realities of the videogame scene. The experience, at the moment, is not yet perfect and there are many shortcomings and rough edges to file, but it is only a matter of time. Probably, the best "casual but not too much" football experience in relation to the low launch price.

Elden Ring: Nightreign is not a classic role-playing game but, rather, a competitive action game with moderate role-playing colors. It is worth underlining this because, of course, the two nomenclatures are destined to run close together, but on two parallel lines. Although not without flaws, FromSoftware's work is still an immersive and challenging experience, which reaches its peak in the specific three-player mode. There are several limitations, both conceptual and content-related, which make the game probably not suitable for everyone (including Elden Ring fans) or difficult to metabolize. However, the game has a certain charm and is one of the most intriguing cooperative experiences of recent years, still offered at a fair price.

79 / 100 - 9th Dawn Remake
May 29, 2025

Despite its limitations, 9th Dawn Remake is a nostalgic and ambitious adventure that simply invites players to explore and fight without interruption. 9th Dawn Remake stands out for its depth and versatility, offering a truly vast overall package of content at a negligible price and further enhanced by local and online cooperative play. That said, Valorware's production is probably not suitable for those looking for a role-playing production that is full-bodied especially on a narrative level or jaw-dropping on a more purely aesthetic level.

Revenge of the Savage Planet is exactly what a sequel should be: bigger, more detailed and fun. With numerous planets to explore and excellent support for co-op, the new chapter in the saga sublimates the fun premise of the first chapter in an exponential way. Although there are flaws, such as a combat system that is a bit too basic and a fluidity still at 30 frames per second on Xbox, the heart of the game lies in exploration, humor and discovery. The game is one of the best co-op experiences available on the market today.

83 / 100 - Towerborne
May 9, 2025

Towerborne is a pleasant surprise in the Xbox catalog. Without revolutionizing anything but mindful of a glorious past unjustly buried or nearly so, it offers a neat and fun cooperative experience with great potential for the future. Its combat system is agile, its mechanics are well integrated, and its seasonal structure manages to maintain interest without overwhelming. There are corners to file, undoubtedly, but we are talking about a product that is still in early access and that offers a fairly long-lived ludic experience at a meager expense (if you are not a Game Pass subscriber, of course).

77 / 100 - KIBORG
May 6, 2025

It might have a couple of rough edges, but Kiborg is a funny and brutal beat 'em up at a very cheap expense. Its visuals aren’t the most groundbreaking in the industry and, maybe, the game may be a bit too repetitive in the long run but once you overcome those factors, the build variety and satisfying combat will make the game a lot more engaging.

Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered is an affordable compilation that fans of Lara Croft will appreciate, making old games modern and accessible. While the aesthetic and technical upgrades improve the original experience for contemporary audiences, the compilation highlights the conceptual limits of a minimal remaster. These games, with their inherent flaws and "spiritual" antiquities, are likely to be fully enjoyed only by nostalgic players, making it challenging for younger audiences to fully appreciate these historic works of the gaming industry.

70 / 100 - Warriors: Abyss
Feb 21, 2025

Limited on several fronts, Warriors: Abyss may please fans of Koei Tecmo's musou series or those who enjoy Vampire Survivors-style games looking to try something similar but not identical. A fun pastime, with some mechanically deep moments, but overall lacks depth both narratively and in gameplay.

Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles is a nostalgic trip for those who enjoyed the original. For under 20 euros, this technical revival offers an "archaeological" charm reminiscent of simpler times. That said, it remains an outdated product with minor tweaks for modern audiences. Not a remake and only partially a remaster, it's recommended specifically for nostalgic Star Wars fans.

Big Helmet Heroes is a light and fun experience from start to finish. Whether playing alone or with a friend in co-op, fun is guaranteed without the game ever becoming overly complicated. For these reasons and the "unidirectional" experience, it's probably not a game that will stay on our consoles for long. The depth, longevity, and mechanical variety are not enough for long play sessions. Stage diversification is notable, but combat might not be particularly engaging for more experienced players, nor is there a particularly deep progression and customization system. For younger players or those looking for a quick and fleeting experience, this game is almost a must-buy at a reasonable price.

Synduality: Echo of Ada has the potential to carve out its own niche of enthusiasts, being an accessible and rather original shooter. The fluid gunplay makes the PvPvE experience exciting, and the new Magus system is interesting and potentially revolutionary. The gameplay, in general, is based on rather precise mechanisms (though not perfect), but Bandai Namco's product does not escape the typical shooter routines. With long-term support, it could emerge as a valid competitor in this increasingly crowded genre.

Freedom Wars Remastered is a good product that does justice to a game full of original ideas that, mainly due to its PS Vita exclusivity, never got the recognition it deserved. This technical “resurrection,” despite some evident limitations, finally gives due credit to a hidden gem left in the "cellar" for a decade. The real advantage of this remaster is not just the (successful) nostalgic operation: it’s the potential. Freedom Wars Remastered calls loudly for a sequel. It’s a product that has the potential to evolve in every sense. The remaster is proof the gameplay, world, and mechanics still resonate with modern audiences and highlights how much more could be done with a true modern chapter.

81 / 100 - Masters of Light
Dec 20, 2024

Not a revolution nor a watershed, but a "clean" and fun title: Masters of Light sits halfway between a classic game and a rhythm game, where you play as a deity of light facing a shadowy invasion. With five different powers to develop and 36 stages, each with a performance rating, Masters of Light offers decent replayability despite some content limitations. It's a fun experience with a hidden goal of physical exercise, at a price slightly below the standard.

Overall, while the Irem Collection Volume 2 is a commendable selection of seminal titles from the past, unfairly forgotten over time, it ultimately amounts to a basic emulation with minor extras and little else. Unlike compilations such as Atari 50, which offer abundant bonus content and revamped or even entirely new versions of classic titles, this collection feels minimal. Although technically solid, it could have benefited from more substantial content and perhaps a visual refresh to modernize the three small gems it includes.
