The third expansion of Atomic Heart, while failing to provide answers to all the unanswered questions, successfully delivers an engaging story, improved gameplay, and well-designed levels. The combat in this expansion is highly exciting thanks to the addition of new tools, and exploring the dark depths of the ocean is a delight due to the well-crafted level design. However, its excessively short length and once again leaving the story unfinished can be somewhat disappointing.

Unholy is a wasted opportunity. A work that could have been a good and memorable indie title. But due to fundamental problems such as a weak story, shallow characterization, and repetitive gameplay; along with a multitude of bugs and severe technical problems, it will create an unpleasant experience for the player. The only positive points of Unholy that make the experience bearable to some extent are its eye-catching atmosphere and resonant music. If you are looking for an indie experience in the horror, survival, and adventure genre, it is better to look for other similar titles.

The Shattered Space expansion can be seen as a step in the right direction, aiming to address previous shortcomings. Deathbound could have certainly been a successful standalone Soulslike title, but poor implementation decisions in some of the core gameplay elements have squandered that potential. Ultimately, if you're a die-hard Soulslike fan and are bored with the genre after playing many titles and are looking for a new Soulslike experience, regardless of quality, then you can give Deathbound a try. Otherwise, you can go for other similar titles and not be fooled by the game's innovative party system.

The Annihilation Instinct expansion does not have much to offer in terms of story. The additional story content in this expansion is very brief and, despite answering many questions, still leaves players with even more unresolved mysteries due to an unsatisfying conclusion. However, in terms of gameplay—especially combat—it introduces new and well-designed content, including exciting weapons and abilities, providing a different experience. Ultimately, if you are solely looking for answers about Agent P3’s story, this expansion will disappoint you. But if you’re seeking a fresh experience in the Atomic Heart universe, this DLC will keep you entertained.
