9.4 / 10.0 - Okami HD
Nov 9, 2012

If you have played Okami before, or if you are interested in it now that the remake is here, there is no doubt in my mind, you really need to pick this game up. I usually don’t say this, but this is more of an experience than it is a game. The story is charming, the visuals are beautiful, and the presentation makes me smile from ear to ear. This is one of the better HD upgrades and well worth the time and money. I can not suggest Okami enough.

6.5 / 10.0 - Dusty Revenge
Jul 26, 2013

The game unfortunately has no multiplayer of any kind. It's a real bummer because I think it would have benefited from it. It's going to be a solo run for players. Still, the game can last well into the four hour mark if not more.

Unscored - Pokemon X and Y
Oct 23, 2013

It’s all here. Fans of Pokémon will be in familiar territory while newcomers will have a great time learning the ropes. It never deviates from the norm too much, but what X and Y does and does brilliantly, is the improvements to connectivity and game progression. Sure, it may feel the same, but it is so refined, that hardcore players will see past it. With more monsters than I can count, and an improved online and overall experience, Nintendo has proven that Pokémon is still alive and well, and with X and Y, anyone with a 3DS should play it. It really is the best Pokémon game I have ever played.

If you have a PS4 and you enjoy a more methodical FPS and want to see some really pretty visuals, Shadow Fall is a good choice.

Firaxis has done it again, and when I thought after losing an entire squad of my best soldiers was enough to make me quit the game forever, I realized I still had enough Meld to make another mech trooper. Yeah, I had to keep playing. If you're looking to get back into XCOM, you just found the one reason to.

If you haven't had the chance to pick up Injustice yet and own a PS4, this is the best version to get. If you enjoyed the original game and are looking for a fighter on your new system, you can't really go wrong here.

7.8 / 10.0 - Doki-Doki Universe
Dec 9, 2013

Originally, I wasn't too thrilled with the game, but after giving it some time and exploring multiple planets, I can see the appeal and I actually enjoyed most of what I played. Just don't expect much action out of the experience and you'll be fine.

6.8 / 10.0 - Tiny Brains

[I]f you have some friends over or some online buddies that have the game and want to have a decent time solving puzzles while trying not to kill one another, Tiny Brains offers some decent fun.

It may not be the best episode of The Walking Dead, but it still has some good moments in it. Hopefully the glitches will be worked on and the setups established will have some payoffs. If you're a fan of The Walking Dead and enjoyed what you played of the first season, chances are you need to pick this episode up. Just keep in mind; it may not be as polished as the previous outings.

6.8 / 10.0 - flOw
Dec 23, 2013

It may not be a game for everyone, and granted it is a little short, but for $5.99 the experience of flOw is a rather relaxing one that people who enjoy a more art style game with minimalist controls may want to look into it. It has a little trouble with the controls, but it's still a rather enjoyable ride.

It may be a somewhat short experience, but there's no denying the fact that the entire time was full of high adrenaline action. The combat is simple and satisfying, and the presentation is top notch.

9.5 / 10.0 - ZEN Pinball 2
Jan 15, 2014

If you enjoy pinball in any shape or form, Zen Pinball 2 is a must download. Even casual fans should at least download the hub and try out some of the tables, and since it comes with one free, there really is no reason not to give it a try. Who knows? You may find yourself addicted to it as much as I am. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a friend's score to beat.

It may go by a little too fast, but Season 2 Episode 2 is a fine continuation to the series that makes up for the lackluster first episode.

7.8 / 10.0 - Yoshi's New Island
Mar 13, 2014

Yoshi’s New Island is a decent little package. The jumping can be a bit of a challenge to master, but the rest of the game is a breeze. Even with the difficulty not being very challenging, the number of worlds and levels can last most players a good eight hours or more depending on how much they want to collect in each level. It may not have the feel of a flagship title like Mario, but Yoshi still knows how to have some fun – just make sure to go into it knowing it’s not going to be a very difficult ride.

7 / 10.0 - King Oddball
Apr 18, 2014

For $7, King Oddball is not necessarily a bad choice. It's a decent simple game that can be played for a few minutes and then returned to later. There's a good amount of content, but most of it can get repetitive if players are not careful. It should be played in small bursts. But for fans of Angry Birds and other Crush the Castle type games will get some fun out of King Oddball.

6 / 10.0 - Daylight
May 1, 2014

Daylight is somewhat of a strange title. It has the makings of a great horror game with its art design and world, but the game play revolves around too many of the same mechanics while the procedurally generated levels offer up more missteps than different experiences. Don't get me wrong, it is a rather creepy game and it can still frighten even the boldest of players, but in the end, it is a single play through game that lasts four hours at the most.

For pinball fans looking for more, this pack is quite the steal. Of course, Star Wars fans will get the most out of it, but even with the objectives being a little obscure, the casual pinball players can have a ton of fun. There's a good amount of content to have the pinball wizards playing for a long while. Zen Studios said they were bringing more tables, and they delivered.
