The Bug Butcher is a great game with entertaining gameplay and neat weapons that is only slightly held back by longevity issues.
Epistory - Typing Chronicles seriously surprised me. This game takes elements from other games and puts them together in fantastic ways. I was constantly impressed with what the game threw at me, and it left me wanting more when I was done.
A massive improvement over the first game in nearly every way, Watch Dogs 2 is an extremely successful entry into the open world genre that should not be missed by fans. Hopefully future entries into the series can knock it out of the park.
Typoman: Revised is a smart puzzle platformer that takes one fantastic central mechanic and delivers some amazing puzzles with it. I just wish it brought a few more.
It's always a shame to see a company hand in their final game, but Two Tribe's RIVE is a fantastic swan song. Featuring some tight shooting and platforming with difficult and creative fights and some really entertaining and well-acted characters, RIVE shouldn't be missed by anyone looking for a fast-paced explosive romp.
Continuing from the first episode, Batman: The Telltale Series is still impressive and making me want to see more of Telltale's version of Batman. There's some nagging tech issues along the way, but as the episode kept going I was forgetting all about them.
Gravity Rush 2 takes the charming original game and builds on it in important ways. The addition of armors makes the combat better, the characters are still fun, the new city is a blast to explore, and its all wrapped in a soundtrack I really enjoyed. Overall, it's a game well worth playing both for newcomers and fans of the original.
The Walking Dead: A New Frontier opens up with two strong episodes that have me the most invested I've been in The Walking Dead since the first release. Hopefully fleshing out the characters a little more can push this season to be even more memorable.
SUPERHOT VR takes an already amazing game and translates it to VR in a very impressive manner. Some minor control issues and short length does hold it back a little, but I have never felt so close to being an action hero before.
An addictive and entertaining roguelite, Has-Been Heroes has some novel ideas that makes it an absolute blast for when you have 30 minutes to kill for another run.
Nex Machina is a pure mechanics game, one that pushes you harder and harder to shoot for that high score. People looking for just a campaign will be done after an hour, but everyone else should find plenty of reasons to play.
The Evil Within 2 combines a great open world with some fun gameplay and smart design to really improve upon the original game.
Batman: The Enemy Within's second episode continues most of the strengths from the first, with the lack of any real action being the only downside. Thankfully, the extremely strong story and characters continue to shine here.
Batman: The Enemy Within's third episode continues the forward momentum from the first two, leading to another episode where I've been engrossed in Batman's drama.
Rumu is slightly held back by easy puzzles, but the fantastic story, wonderful character development, and lovely audio video package do a lot to make this robot's journey of self-discovery worth it.
The Hidden Ones is just more Assassin's Creed Origins. Considering how good the base game was, that's not a bad thing. It also helps that there's actually a substantial amount of content here.
The Fall Part 2: Unbound is a fantastic sequel that takes many of the elements of the first game and improves on them, creating a fascinating story and fun blend of gameplay elements.
Moss is a wonderful example of a VR puzzle platformer, and it combines various gameplay elements with a fantastic world to really deliver something worth playing.
Transference combines a fantastic story with great acting and smart puzzles for an experience that manages to really stand out from the crowd.
Arca's Path is simple enough for VR newbies to enjoy, but also complicated enough to be a satisfying game for anyone.
