Life Is Strange is an impressive mixture of great writing, great voice acting, and interactive storytelling that'll pull on your heart strings like it's going out of style.
Super Hot is a first person shooter unlike any other. It's very narrative driven, mind blowing, fps similar to games such as Portal or The Stanley Parable. It's quite the mind trip and the time driven game mechanic is actually a lot of fun. Just be prepared to run around saying "Super Hot" in your head for the next few days. It's short but sweet and well worth the trip into this virtual world.
When it comes down to it, A Hat in Time is just plain fun.
If you like good, creepy atmosphere, a world that draws you in, and a well done narrative, then you should probably give this horror game a try.
A beautiful sequel to an already great franchise innovates in some key ways without changing the game's look and feel too much. There is a lot of content here with the large campaign map and all the different factions vying for control over the New World. The real-time battles are as fun to watch and play as always, and the differences between races force you to approach every campaign differently, to great success.
NeuroVoider is a very satisfying romp in the rogue-like genre.
The Long Dark is a satisfying experience of survival that is both realistic and has good game mechanics.
Seeing your actions have real effect on the world was a treat. Overall, if you are into vampires, history, well written stories, or all of the above, do yourself a favor and check out Vampyr.
My Time at Portia is a great addition to the genre. It’s not perfect but it is unique.
Minus a few iffy aspects, Bloodstained is fun experience. Whether it falls into the realm of one of the greats is unlikely but I enjoyed my time anyway.
Burly Men at Sea will definitely charm you though. And although it can get repetitive if you try to get all the endings for the game, the stories are all well written and it's exciting to see what happens next.
The game is equal parts scary and interesting, as I said before, is not an experience I'm likely to forget about anytime soon.
All in all Layers of Fear was a fun experience and honestly was a bit of fresh air compared to the multitude of horror games that have been coming out lately (not that I'm complaining).
Cities: Skylines - Mass Transit adds more than enough new content to make you want to return to the game. The new transport hubs are handy, and all the quality of life changes make Cities: Skylines even better than it already was if designing your city's public transport network is your thing.
An entertaining origin story that raises some questions I would love to see answered while also telling the tale of Chloe's origin story.
All in all definitely worth at least one playthrough.
If you played Neon Chrome or other similar isometric twin stick shooters and enjoyed them I would recommend giving this one a go. At first glance it doesn't seem like much but once you get into the meat of it you'll realize that there is more then meets the eye. The game is short but has some depth.
Close to the Sun is an experience that I enjoyed but I also found myself wanting a bit more out of.
Telltale have a written a compelling start of a trilogy that manages to immerse you without tweaking the formula.
The Walking Dead: Michonne is an entertaining return to the post-zombie wasteland and manages to cram quite a lot of well-written story in a relatively small amount of time.
