Jason Stettner's Reviews
Forza Motorsport 7 is really what the series has been racing towards this generation as it all comes together for one gorgeous and massive game.
Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash is a solid shooter that's fun to play and actually well balanced.
SteamWorld Dig 2 is an excellent game that provides a beautiful world filled with charming characters.
It's got some nice choice, lovely graphics though everything does feel very simple.
Its enjoyable not only in how the campaign is presented, but also with how exciting the competitive aspects of multiplayer are.
I'm not too interested in where they're taking this as it all seems predictable and hopefully some random cards come into play for these final two upcoming episodes.
Baja: Edge of Control HD is a fine remaster of the game and I'm not sure why this particular game got the treatment, but I'm not at all against it as it can be fun to play.
I came out of DreamBreak really disliking the game in general while having a strong appreciation of the world it created.
Overall this is a solid package for those getting their yearly fixed, players that want to return after awhile and general fans of the sport.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm is a great start for the series and I'm very, very curious where it will go from here.
This game is essentially just trash at this point, it could be improved if they get the performance going properly though at launch I'm curious why this was allowed to be released in the state it is.
If you're a fan of the Warriors series then this is a fantastic evolution to that mixing a pile of characters from so many franchises.
It's fast paced, it gets the gametypes right and tries to be something new instead of just releasing another generic FPS to the market.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is an excellent standalone and perfect addition to the Uncharted universe.
More Than a Feeling brings the full force of the Guardians and adds some members to it that really help round out the squad.
I certainly did enjoy Yakuza: Kiwami as my first visit of the franchise and look forward to hopefully playing more down the road.
It's a solid episode regardless of some thoughts I have on various aspects and I'm more interested in seeing the direction this part is trying to take us to.
Agents of Mayhem is a great game and it provides a unique style of excitement.
West of Loathing is a highly entertaining, sometimes bizarre and mostly a charming RPG.
There's a good balance of content here in Absolution and I thought it was definitely the best of the releases thus far.
