Diego Escala's Reviews
Call of Duty: WW2 is a perfectly serviceable game, but for something that’s supposed to be the grand return to the WW2 era it feels more like a publisher reaction to Battlefield 1 than a genuine interest in doing something new with the setting.
Wolfenstein ll: The New Colossus is an absolutely buck wild ride of a game.
It’s not very often a game as special as this comes out and the more I play Divinity: Original Sin 2 the more certain I am that it’s one of the best RPG’s of all time.
It’s safe to say that Reikon Games completely blew away all expectations with their first game.
Absolver is the kind of game that is brilliant when you focus on its combat, but when you start to look at the overall product you start to notice the imperfections.
Tekken 7 doesn’t reinvent itself, but it doesn’t need to because it always has been, and still is, one of the best fighting games around.
Persona 5 is the series’ addictive formula refined to a nearly perfect form.
If you’re able to stomach DESYNC’s almost sadistic difficulty, you might find something of worth here, otherwise look elsewhere for something better.
Loot Rascals is a bit of a frustrating package because the core concept is so damn interesting and well done, it’s just everything that surrounds it that sours the experience.
Hitman is a brilliant, and welcomed addition to the series and I’m eagerly awaiting the next season.
There’s a frustratingly good idea in Tyranny, but you’ll have to push your way through an unstimulating plot and mediocre combat to find it.
Duke Nukem 3D is still a fantastic game, but technical issues, little to no commentary, and a dead on release multiplayer community makes an already overpriced package hard to recommend.
Mother Russia Bleeds is ultimately a competent, but somewhat forgettable entry in the beat'em-up genre.
Mankind Divided falls pretty short as a sequel with a lackluster plot and some technical issues, but as a whole it's still a well put together package that's a blast to play.
Dark Souls 3 is a fantastic entry in the series but instead of standing on its own, it feels more like a nostalgic romp and because of this ends on a less climactic note than I would've preferred.
Hitman is a mixed package. While its core mechanics are solid and brimming with potential, the insane load times and required online connection sour what could have been a proper return to the franchise roots.
Despite the game's plot taking hours to reach the point where it actually becomes interesting, it more than makes up for it with the core combat itself being top notch and the addicting Digimon training.
The Following is basically just more Dying Light but with a car and that's perfectly fine.
Death by Game Show is, ultimately, a neat but flawed diversion that would be better if it weren't so needlessly frustrating and grindy so early on in the game.
EDF 4.1 is easily the best in the series thanks to its improved performance and is a great jump on point for newcomers.
