The Foundation is a worthy continuation of the Control’s storyline, that plays just as well as the main game, with some additions that while not game-changing, are nice to have.
It’s a great deal to see the missing chapters from the Kiryu saga, presented better than they ever have been before.
Aladdin and The Lion King are pieces of many people’s childhoods, for both fun and frustrating reasons, but this collection is a nearly perfect representation of the two, with plenty of variations to try, history to learn and helpful cheats to abuse.
In Death Unchained is a tough son of a bitch, but it’s also a pretty engaging experience, if you’re up for the challenge.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is truly impressive. You literally have the entire world at your fingertips, and the freedom to customise your flight in incredible detail. But, it feels like the base – the proof of concept simulation that will be built upon – for a game that can become truly remarkable.
Whether you choose ray-traced glory or the buttery smooth turbo-mode gameplay, Devil May Cry 5 remains an eminently enjoyable action game, and the adding Vergil into the mix only makes it even sweeter.
It’ll give you the willies in ways you might not expect, and ways that are hard to forget.
Returnal is definitely one of the best PlayStation 5 games you can buy right now, and will undoubtedly impress anybody who picks it up with the speed of its gameplay, quality of its detailed presentation and the fun haptics.
At its best, Resident Evil Village is an intense, action-packed thrill-ride that also provides plenty of satisfying survival horror exploration and puzzling.
Ultimately, Project X Zone 2 boils down to a healthy heaping of fan service for weebs, or anyone who's familiar with the franchises included. While the story can be slow and plodding, it also has some decent gags and a lot of self-awareness that helps drive each crossover encounter.
Fans of the Halo lore may have been hyped by the fact that Halo Wars 2 takes place post-Halo 5, meaning that chronologically it should further the overarching narrative currently taking place in the mainline games. However, this isn’t really the case – Halo Wars 2 is still firmly a side story, and seemingly takes no advantage of the new time period it takes place in.
Cyan effortlessly weaves creativity the way other developers can only dream of, and I’m excited to see where they can go from here.
Eagle Flight has actually kept my interest for far longer than many of the other PlayStation VR titles out near launch, and this is largely due to the good mechanics the developers have put in place to encourage replayability.
That all said, Werewolves Within is a fun way to spend an evening, and it’s currently the most social experience you can have with the PlayStation VR online.
Tying hard moral decisions to real gameplay in a compelling open-world RPG is an ambitious goal, and it’s one that Vampyr achieves to an extent.
While it doesn’t quite have enough tricks up its sleeve to remain engaging throughout its 40-hour main story, it’s still a creative, interesting new take on the franchise that’s worth a look for any fan after something a bit different.
If this is able to re-establish the series with its new visual style on the Nintendo Switch, then I’d like where the series can go from here, with a modernised take on the formula.
While the effort is admirable, it makes quite a few sacrifices to get it all functional and working on Switch’s hardware
Burnout Paradise Remastered on Switch runs really well, and if the price doesn’t bother you it’s easy to recommend on the system if you have a love for the game.
As part of a larger whole, the Wild Run content helps to make The Crew into the more complete experience it should have been, but by itself as DLC the price will likely be too high for all but the most devoted Crew fans.
