Instead of giving this review a numerical value, I’m just going to say this; buy it. You’ll thank me later.
As a complete package, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 does have a few flaws. Sometimes the physics freak out, sometimes the game doesn't look as good as other games on current consoles do, and other times the game just lags for no reason.
It’s a nice throwback to the days of video games, but it does leave me wanting more. So in essence, Jay and Silent Bob: Mall Brawl is the perfect snack before we get to Jay and Silent Bob: Chronic Blunt Punch.
At $30 you’re looking at game with plenty of replay value, charm, a little frustration, and some amazing creations.
If you have never played Dear Esther before the $9.99 price point is well worth it. You’ll get a memorable, emotional experience and once you’re done, you can do it all again with director’s commentary.
The relationships are strong right out of the gate and at times I felt like made a decision that I didn't want to make, but had to for the greater good.
If you missed the original Kinect: Disneyland Adventures, this is a decent port. It’s a fun game that all ages will be able to enjoy even with its graphical flaws across the Xbox One family of consoles.
Super Lucky’s Tale is an incredible looking game with the gameplay to match. The gang at Playful Corp. have put out a family friendly, yet challenging game with lots to look at, loads to do, enough collectables to keep you entertained for hours.
This overhaul of Voodoo Vince is a great piece for new or returning players. You can easily jump into this classic and feel right at home. With all the HD remakes coming out, this is a must-have.
If you’re looking for an atmospheric, creepy game that will make you feel uncomfortably alone, then I recommend Little Nightmares.
If you were a fan of The Evil Within, you will enjoy The Evil Within 2. Scares are scarier, disturbing imagery is more disturbing, and, overall, the game builds on what was already established in the first one. It’s not a perfect game, but for being the Halloween season it’s the perfect game to help set a spooky mood.
Overall, if you are a fan of survival horror, I would suggest picking this game up. At $13.99 you won’t find a better horror experience for this price point.
Other than the barrier to entry for the My Hero Academia series, My Hero: One’s Justice is a great looking game with some fun fighting. If you are a fan of the anime or manga, then this game will be an absolute treat for you.
If you want to wash the taste of Duke Nukem Forever out of your mouth, Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour is the palate cleanser we have been waiting for.
If you’re a fan of King of Fighters then King of Fighters XIV is a welcome new addition to the family. It’s a great fighting game that players of other fighting games can respect and get into quite easily.
The gameplay is wonderful, the music is whimsical, and the story (so far) is very entertaining. If you're looking for a great challenge presented in a unique way, then run off and join the Penarium circus.
The game does an amazing job of making you care about everything that's happened.
Q.U.B.E. offers great puzzles and immense satisfaction once you figure out a solution to those puzzles. If you're looking for a puzzle game to get lost in, Q.U.B.E. is perfect from all angles.
Octodad is a short, sweet story with some fun gameplay and challenging tasks. Grab three friends for some multiplayer action.
Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 is a fun game that builds on previous design aesthetics and gameplay. If you are a fan of Lego games, and were a fan of Lego Marvel Super Heroes you will enjoy this game. It’s humorous, action-packed, and filled with more Marvel Super Heroes than the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War movie.
