If you are looking for a fun hack-and-slash game or something enjoyable to play consider picking up Gori: Cuddly Carnage instead of more expensive titles. The side missions alone will give you something else to enjoy and are a good way to get money to upgrade your abilities.

If you grew up with Backyard Baseball, you will feel a sense of nostalgia like reconnecting with a childhood friend you haven’t seen in a long time. The gameplay is simple enough and smooth enough that a new player can pick up the game and just play while a returning veteran will know some tricks of the trade.

At the end of the day, if you are looking to play the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection to just relive or experience some of the beloved early games then it is worth picking up. If you are looking to battle against other duelists, then it might be better to hold off on picking up this collection until there are more multiplayer options.

8.8 / 10.0 - Lost in Random
Oct 22, 2021

The game features strong narratives, interesting characters, and a great mix of voice acting and soundtracks. Each story told or scene felt unique and can drum up a variety of emotions. At times, we would just stop to listen to the music rather than progressing through the game. Lost in Random is a fun game to play through but falls short of becoming a must-have. Players can easily get 12 hours of gameplay out of Lost in Random so it is easily worth its $29.99 retail price for fans of dark fairy tales. For those who are not, then waiting for it to go on sale or join EA Play is a wise choice.

When it comes to Sucker for Love: First Date, we feel its charm but don’t fall in love. The story’s overall premise is cute and playful but a lack of choices really holds back the game. The developers attempt to make the player feel like there are multiple choices, but at the end of the day, these choices only come into play at the very end. We can admit that we have been spoiled by other games that have a narrative-driven story such as Catherine: Full Body, Detroit Become Human, or Doki Doki Literature Club. With that in mind, the story is still enjoyable to play through but lacks depth.

8.7 / 10.0 - Pumpkin Jack
Oct 31, 2020

Pumpkin Jack is a fun 3D Platformer that is enjoyable for seasoned platformers but easy enough for new players to get into. The game provides the player with a fun experience that does not get stale throughout the levels. The use of mini-games, comedy, and pop culture references keeps the game entertaining; it is definitely a unique experience just in time for Halloween. Pumpkin Jack does feel a bit short compared to other platformers. At the end of the game, Jack has completed his quest but with how the story has progressed, the story feels incomplete. Hopefully, this is not the last time we see Pumpkin Jack.

8.6 / 10.0 - Roundguard
Jul 7, 2020

Roundguard helped relieve my feelings of anxiety during this global pandemic and satiated my desire to play D&D. This game could be even more fun with a co-op element or game mode. Complete bouncing mayhem!

Rainbow Six Extraction is an enjoyable tactical shooter that allows players to experience their favorite Siege operators in a new way. The game does struggle from being a bit repetitive due to the grinding process, but having a team to overcome challenges with makes the grinding experience more enjoyable. Missions do not feel like they are do or die; you can either retrieve operators in a subsequent mission or have them return naturally with time. If you are looking for a game that will have you grind for end-game material then you are in luck; otherwise, the game will feel like you have to work for every milestone.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is one of the three best Call of Duty titles to be released within the last eight years. This game is a beautifully crafted tactical collaboration that makes players want to come back for more.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is rather enjoyable to play but it will end up being the black sheep of the Kingdom Hearts franchise.

8.5 / 10.0 - Eyes in the Dark

Hopefully, later down the line, the developers will add a feature allowing players to resume at a certain checkpoint. Yes, the game is completable but it can take a lot of time. If you are looking for a fun 2D side-scrolling roguelite, then Eyes in the Dark will be right up your alley.

8.5 / 10.0 - The Gunk
Dec 22, 2021

The Gunk is a great game to introduce children or newbies to the wonderful things gaming can offer. Combat in the game is by far its weakest element; the game feels more like a Captain Planet simulator where you clean up the planet for a beautiful tomorrow. The game’s graphics will pull you in and make you feel like you can make the world a better place. The audio will make you feel sad about how lifeless the world has become and as you revitalize it, make you feel like you are doing good. Overall, The Gunk was sadly too short for how beautiful it is. If you have free time and want to explore a new world, then The Gunk is worth trying out.

8.5 / 10.0 - Back 4 Blood
Nov 27, 2021

Back 4 Blood is a fun survival game that hits nostalgia points where other games like Grand Theft Auto Trilogy The Definitive Edition fails to do so. Whether you are looking for an enjoyable holiday gift or a new game to play on Xbox Game Pass, Back 4 Blood should scratch that itch. The gameplay is a bit rough at first but once you get a hang of the mechanics and card system, you are off to become a true cleaner.

8.5 / 10.0 - Hitman 3
Feb 1, 2021

Overall, Hitman 3 is an enjoyable game but feels like a lackluster installment to a renowned trilogy. It is easy to see why other outlets have scored the game highly; however, it does feel like some of the high scores are inflated due to nostalgia or release hype. The game is a good installment but does not feel like an end title. Hopefully, in the future, IO Interactive will fix some of the bugs and allow players to alter the controller layout. So should you buy Hitman 3? The easy answer is yes but not immediately. Hitman 3 is a solid game but it doesn’t feel worth its 60 dollars asking price. Why pay 60 dollars for a game you can perfect in 12 hours when there are games that can offer you over 40 hours of gameplay for the same price. 30 to 40 Dollars seems like a fair purchase price for this game, but it ultimately comes down to how you value the game.

8.5 / 10.0 - High on Life
Dec 27, 2022

At the end of the day, High on Life seems like too short of an experience rushed through using minimal enemy types and linear story progression. The game could be so much more but feels like it was more of a movie rather than its own universe.

8.5 / 10.0 - Trinity Trigger
Apr 26, 2023

If you are a JRPG fan, then Trinity Trigger is a great game to consider. The fact that you can play this game through local multiplayer is great even if it takes a while to unlock, but the lack of the online option hinders it a bit. The game is currently available for $49.99 and is worth considering picking up; if you are on the fence about it, picking the game up when it’s on sale between the $20 and $40 threshold would be worthwhile. We had a lot of fun playing the game and hope you do as well.

Loop 8: Summer of Gods is an enjoyable game but it is not for everyone. If you are a fan of strong narratives, then we’d recommend picking it up. If you are a fan of traditional JRPGs then it might be better to watch some gameplay first. If you don’t like a challenge or repetitive gameplay, then we suggest avoiding it.

8.5 / 10.0 - Viewfinder
Aug 18, 2023

At the price point, it is worth picking up, but if you have a tight wallet and want a game with a ton of hours of gameplay, then it is better to wait until it goes on sale. Unless you hate puzzle games, you will most likely enjoy this game and enjoy the variety of puzzles.

8.5 / 10.0 - The Crew Motorfest
Oct 11, 2023

The game lacking an overall story did feel like a bit of a miss but each playlist having its own feel and narrator made it feel like it had something to offer outside of a racing sim. The game’s controls are fairly easy to utilize due to the layout being the traditional racing layout. The wide variety of vehicles and an amazing soundtrack really gave it an edge over other racers currently available.
