Critic Reviews for Eyes in the Dark
Eyes in the Dark is a real testament to the efforts and inspirations of developer, Under the Stairs, and after this experience with Bloom Manor, I truly look forward to seeing what it's capable of next.
Once you get the hang of things Eyes in the Dark: The Curious Case of One Victoria Bloom clicks into place and becomes a great little action-platformer to blast through.
Eyes in the Dark doesn’t exactly reinvent roguelites or twin stick shooters so much as it simply takes good parts of those things and ties it up neatly in a darkly humored style, both charming and creepy. The black and white art style, quirky soundtrack, and unique light-vs-dark elements are quite enjoyable. RNG can and will cut your runs short, and I think its permanent upgrade system is a bit too stingy to keep things moving along, but it’s still quite an amusing roguelite romp that will keep you cutting through the darkness on your way to discovering the mysteries of the Bloom family.
Eyes In The Dark: The Curious Case of One Victoria Bloom takes players on a puzzling and difficult journey, with a flashlight as the primary weapon.
Eyes in the Dark: the Curious Case of One Victoria Bloom will call you to explore a darkness to be eradicated with the trusty torch. Victoria Bloom's "visit" to her grandfather's house is a heart-pounding journey and net of a series of limitations it has been confirmed as fun to play and able to amaze, thanks above all to a refined graphic style that certainly does not go unnoticed. In other words, if you are passionate about the genre of reference you could serenely give him a chance.

Eyes in the Dark is ultimately a unique and very distinctive entry in the rogue-lite genre. It certainly won’t resonate with everyone, but it’s well worth a look if you’re in the mood for a charming rogue-lite that looks like it just jumped out of a Tim Burton movie.
Eyes in the Dark is a great little roguelike platformer whose clever upgrades system and unique presentation are enough for it to stand out in a crowd. Although the Impediments system can leave your experience a bit too at the mercy of RNG, overall the variety of upgrades and difficulty curve ensured that Eyes in the Dark remained a fair and fun experience. If you are seeking a new roguelike to get invested in, you should definitely consider a trip to Bloom Manor.
Eyes in the Dark is an interesting take on the roguelite genre and it can surely count on a captivating art direction.
