At first, the DLC felt like it was too little, but as we got to experience the story in The Indigo Disk, it felt more flushed out and worth the price. If you are a fan of Pokemon games, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC is worth picking up. The blend of different generations of Pokemon makes the game feel fresh and changes the game’s battle system for more competitive matchups. Despite some of the negatives, it is ultimately worth the price if you want to keep enjoying Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

8 / 10.0 - For the King 2
Dec 16, 2023

For the King II has the potential to be a great tabletop-like RPG. At the moment, the biggest things holding the game back are its bugs, matchmaking, and lack of game difficulties. The game’s biggest positives are the ability to have each character flex into a different playstyle, four-play co-op, and the story. With the different bugs we have encountered, we think that For the King II would have benefited from Steam’s Early Access program. Thankfully, it seems that the developers are actively working on bug fixes so it has improved over the last month.

8 / 10.0 - It's a Wrap!
Oct 19, 2023

For almost twenty dollars, It’s A Wrap! offers players a good bit of gameplay if they want to play the game for everything it has to offer; for those who are looking for a platformer alone, the game falls short. The game is definitely worth checking out if you want something a bit different and can provide at least a few hours of excitement. Hell, the different deaths Johnny has alone can make it worth the pickup.

Despite some of its flaws, Jackbox Party Pack 10 is a fun game to play with friends and even strangers. Yes, Hypnotorious is a bit of a miss depending on who you are playing with but the other four game modes pick up its slack. Jackbox Party Pack 10 offers a variety of settings to make streamers’ lives easier and improve the game for the community. The price increase after years of a steady price does seem a bit off, but even at $7 a game is fairly priced. If you are looking for a fun party game, then picking up the latest Jackbox Party Pack is a good idea.

Although Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty offers players a good bit of new activities to do, the lack of new quaint romantic partners or a happy/satisfying ending leaves us feeling unsatisfied. If this is truly how CD Projekt Red plans to end Cyberpunk 2077, they are doing the fans a massive disservice.

8 / 10.0 - Dead Island 2
Apr 18, 2023

Dead Island 2 has solid gameplay and a beautiful environment despite cutting out the game’s soul. If the game was named something else, it would be perfectly fine but as a sequel, it fails to build off its predecessor’s successes. Players will have fun playing through the game either solo or cooperatively, but once the quests are done, it will be on the shelf until an expansion or DLC is released. If you want a zombie slaying game you have it. If you want an expanded lore to the Dead Island franchise, then you are out of luck. See you in Hell-A Zombie Slayers.

This game, like Pokemon Arceus, is arguably what many Pokemon fans have requested for years. If Nintendo can keep the positives while fixing the graphical issues, they could easily win Game of the Year in the near future. These two new games do a lot of things right with only a few issues to complain about in the long run. If you are a fan of the Pokemon franchise, we definitely recommend checking out Pokemon Violet and Scarlet.

8 / 10.0 - The Quarry
Nov 25, 2022

Diving into The Quarry, we were expecting a suspenseful character-driven narrative based on experiences with other Supermassive Games titles. Needless to say, we got exactly that. The characters are relatable with each character’s personality resembling an aspect of at least one person we all know. Although the monster at Summer camp genre can be rather cheesy based on previous excerpts and adaptations in the genre. The game offers a variety of outcomes for the player to experience with over 100 possible variations.

If you have never played Jackbox Games before Jackbox Party Pack 9 is definitely a great place to start. The game features three very enjoyable game modes and one adequate game mode. Honestly, you can skip Quixort. But if you have a group of friends that you like to play with or enjoy streaming, Jackbox Party Pack 9 is a great game to play with others.

With the Black Ops Cold War Campaign having multiple endings and Zombies / Multiplayer requiring you to grind a lot, you will definitely get your money’s worth. We do recommend that you wait until the game is patched a bit more before you buy it. The game has the potential to be a top Treyarch title but it’s just not there yet. Maybe by the time the first DLC releases, the game will be worth its price.

8 / 10.0 - Days Gone
May 24, 2021

The game still has a few issues that should be fixed within a few patches but is easier to play than when it launched on the PlayStation 4. Bend Studio has done a great job improving Days Gone’s graphics, however, you need a powerful pc to enjoy the game on the highest setting. Even on medium graphics, the game still looks amazing even if less detailed. There are still the occasional visual bugs whether it be Freakers or allies, which can slow the progress of the game. The game’s audio does need to be worked on slightly due to the game sometimes signifying enemies are nearby even when clear. Overall, Days Gone is an enjoyable experience that is great for a single playthrough, possibly a completionist or modded run. Beyond that, most gamers who have a giant library will play Days Gone once and be done. For an older game, Days Gone releasing on Steam for $49.99 seems a bit overpriced. Yes, the game is enjoyable and provides you with over 25 hours of gameplay, but it is still an older game. A launch price of $39.99 would have been a fair selling price. For those who do not have a PlayStation 4, it is an enjoyable title that is worth picking up. For those who have already played it, it might be worth skipping over or waiting until it goes on sale.

Overall, our time with Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles was enjoyable but at times felt like a chore. Additionally, if you like to stream games but do not use a capture card, certain scenes will be blocked from streaming. The controls are simple to use, the graphics show the beautiful world the characters live in, and the voice acting truly conveys how the characters are feeling. The game’s storyline does detract from the overall experience though and never allows the player to experience the story as if they were watching the anime. Finally, when it comes to the game’s replay value, it falls short. Most of the replay value comes by perfecting fights or VS mode.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is fun to play through the first time or even while helping friends complete their campaign. Sadly, the game does not live up to the overall expectations that the team set. Yes, it still has the same Borderlands feel, but as a whole comes up a bit short. The story is enjoyable and the chaos dungeon does give players end-game content, but at the end of the day, it is rather lacking due to limited missions and overall exploration. Why buy a $60 game you can perfect in under 35 hours when you can pick up Horizon Forbidden West or Elden Ring and get double or more gameplay for the same price? If you love the typical Borderlands art style and humor then it will be an enjoyable time, but if you were looking for a massively open-world look elsewhere. The game’s overall story is enjoyable but the Dragon Lord still lives in the shadows of Handsome Jack. Despite playing through the campaign, there was no moment that really stood out to us. Yes, there are comical moments but not ones that you talk about at parties or ones that will carry on for years to come. As a stand-alone title, it’s more of an expanded DLC rather than an actual game.

8 / 10.0 - Digimon Survive
Aug 13, 2022

If they took the time to flesh out the graphics, Pokemon Legends: Arceus would be considered a must-have. Excluding the game’s lack of voice acting, the story is still an enjoyable tale that gives a deeper look at certain Pokemon’s legends.

8.2 / 10.0 - Disintegration

Disintegration is only the second RTS title to keep my attention for a long period of time. If you are still in doubt, watch streams or multiplayer videos but I can say that Disintegration is worth the $49.99 USD price tag.
