Khurram Imtiaz's Reviews

I am an avid gamer that has an interest in RPGs. I prefer games that push the narrative in storytelling, something that was perfected by The Last of Us. I have been writing for over 3 years now for different outlets. I love to talk about video games and you will find my reviews going into detail about every aspect of the video game.

Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters: Daybreak Special Gigs is a neat little update to the base game, but it doesn't really warrant its current price. At most, it could have worked well as an expansion to the base game, which unfortunately isn't the case here.

The most ambitious racing game out there also happens to be a blast to play, with fantastic audiovisual design making the races and open world journey all the more exciting and compelling. Forza Horizon 3 is the best thing to happen to racing games since Burnout Paradise.

Dead Rising Triple Pack offers the long time fans an opportunity to get back in the series. While there is not much of upgrade in term of visuals, the frame rate is dramatically improved, which results in a smoother experience overall.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided offers the players the freedom to choose their own story. The gameplay shines through the use of augmentations and the story never takes itself lightly by focusing on the tension between humans and augmented humans. If you have enjoyed your time with Deus Ex: Human Revolution, you shouldn't miss out on Adam Jensen's latest adventure.

Hitman Episode 3 continues to offer interesting missions with multiple ways of tackling them, but also manages to retain its lingering issues. The third episode's increased challenge is welcome, though Marrakesh turns out to be a rather uneventful setting.

I Am Setsuna is an interesting take on the classic JRPG genre. Tokyo RPG Factory has managed to take one of the best turn-based battle system from fan favorite Chrono Trigger and used it to create a simple but memorable experience that might satisfy the thirst of JRPG fans.

10 / 10 - INSIDE
Jul 8, 2016

Inside is, in many ways, a spiritual successor to Limbo. It reiterates on the formula and design established by Limbo and polishes it to perfection. The game is full of thought provoking puzzles and a narrative structure that requires you to think, while also highlighting the negative side of the human society.

As the third entry in the series, Zero Time Dilemma takes a lot of inspiration from the past games while lacking anything innovative to move the series forward. It is arguably a great game but it often feels less polished compared to its predecessors and the presentations suffers as a result.

Trials of the Blood Dragon is a great idea on paper but its execution here leaves a lot to be desired. As a successor to Blood Dragon, it ultimately has a lot of expectations from the fans but while it delivers on the aesthetics and style of Blood Dragon, it falls short in gameplay.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is the best entry in the series and the second best Naughty Dog game after The Last of Us. The game has a great pacing mixed with seamless gameplay and one of the most gorgeous looking graphics that we have seen in a console game so far. It is a fitting end to the adventures of Nathan Drake and friends.
