Khurram Imtiaz's Reviews

I am an avid gamer that has an interest in RPGs. I prefer games that push the narrative in storytelling, something that was perfected by The Last of Us. I have been writing for over 3 years now for different outlets. I love to talk about video games and you will find my reviews going into detail about every aspect of the video game.

Naurto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is the last entry in the series and it is arguably the best one yet. CyberConnect2 has nailed the aesthetics of anime/manga and perfected the combat system from earlier games to create this satisfying conclusion in the Ultimate Ninja Storm series. If you are a die-hard Naruto fan, this game is a must buy. If you are new to the series, then you can still pick this game to enjoy the spectacular story and action.

4 / 5.0 - Unravel
Feb 29, 2016

Unravel is absolutely gorgeous to behold but it is held back by its simple gameplay design. Yarny is great and the game does a remarkable job of building his character and making players care for him.

4.7 / 5.0 - Shovel Knight

The game also has an incredible soundtrack that is a joint effort between Manami Matsumae from Megaman fame and Jake Kauffman. Both of these have created a soundtrack that is perfect fit for the game. The fast-paced songs fit the mood perfectly and are a joy to listen in the game.

Games of Thrones Episode 2 is a rather slow burn type of Episode which takes it sweet time in establishing the new characters, as well continuing the story of the returning characters. Unfortunately it doesn't really stand as anything special in term of the story, making it a weak follow-up from Episode 1.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 is, without a doubt, the best modern Resident Evil yet. It has a perfect bland of action and survival horror gameplay, and one of the best implementation of co-op since Resident Evil 5. The short and focused campaign is a fun experience and the episodes are designed in a way that allows for multiple playthroughs. There are also plenty of secrets hidden throughout each episode, which should increase the replay value.

Game of Thrones Episode 1 provides a successful start to this new series from Telltale Games. The episode ends in such a way that we are left hanging for more at the end.  It definitely isn't their best work yet, but it does show a lot of promise in the future.

4 / 5.0 - Axiom Verge
May 30, 2015

In conclusion, Axiom Verge is a great indie game that has nailed the look and feel of the classic Metroidvania games. Unfortunately in this process, some elements were borrowed that can often result in a frustrating experience. Still, as a work of a single developer, Axiom Verge is a remarkable throwback to the old school side-scrolling action-adventure games.

'A House Divided' is another great episode for Season 2 that focuses on the relationship between characters and helps in explaining the background for some of them. It also sets up the ground for a great Episode 3 with its end of episode teaser.

The Walking Dead Season 2 rectifies this situation. Not only the loading times and random stutters are reduced, the touch and physical controls now seamlessly switch places on the fly. There is no need to manually select them. If you want to use touch, just touch the screen, similarly, if you want to use the physical controls, just press any button. It is really a neat feature and TellTale Games have done a great job integrating it for the PS Vita in Season 2. This definitely makes the PS Vita version of The Walking Dead Season 2, the definitive version of the game.

In conclusion, Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars is a neat little entry in the JRPG market, which – while not exactly revolutionary – manages to distance itself from other turn-based RPGs through the introduction of new gameplay mechanics like Star Children and Classmating. These mechanics might not necessarily be new but they are built on the preexisting concepts in a JRPG and are surprising fun for the most part.
