Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World may not revolutionize the platforming genre, or even reinvent the wheel compared to its predecessor but it's a magnificent port filled with lush visual details, a wide variety of challenges and a lifespan set to keep players around the game for long and fun hours. Just Dance 2017 keeps the tradition of being the best game in the dancing style. Featuring a new musical selection and the same upbeat gameplay as before, Just Dance proves that it deserves the recognition of being the best party game out there. For the next chapter, a renewal featuring brand new gaming modes would be very welcome, as keeping the same formula could start to become repetitive in the long term.

Futuridium EP Deluxe brings back the space-themed shoot'em up, this time with a psychedelic atmosphere that will pit the player through fifty levels which will pose a significant amount of challenge - sometimes too much challenge for its own good, as the controls aren't always responsive as they should and level design could use some serious improvements.

Shutshimi is a simple and very addictive fast-pace shoot'em up that presents itself in an old school-style and which will strike a chord with enthusiasts of intense scrolling shoot'em ups. So intense, in fact, that its experiences become too short-lived and its lifespan quickly falls behind when played solo, rather than on multiplayer.

Epic Dumpster Bear is competent at providing a hilarious, long-lasting and varied platforming experience that doesn't take itself too seriously. Beyond that, it's a rather standard game that doesn't rely on anything else, certainly not on its simple visual and audio atmosphere. While players looking for a funny platformer will be entertained, those who crave a more in depth and technically gratifying experience will look elsewhere.

Mega Man Legacy Collection is an invitation to explore the first six Mega Man games and it succeeds at striking a chord both with longtime Mega Man fans and with those less familiar with the series. As good as this compilation is, it could only be improved by fixing frame rate drops in certain busy areas and with more content, especially more games of the Mega Man series which could have easily been included in this title.

The HD release of Twilight Princess brings all the splendour of the original game to the contemporary age, with a much deserved high definition refurbishing and very welcome mechanics unique to the Wii U. Its structure and fundamentals remain untouched and Twilight Princess HD is as much of a monumental game today as it was upon its original release.

Bravely Second: End Layer does not live up to its predecessor's standards but this does not make it any less of a good RPG. Its visual environment is superb, it's loaded with content and its lifespan will keep everyone around it for a long time. It also improves on its predecessor's class system, while it falls out with the soundtrack and narrative.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is a worthy successor to the previous title in the series and one of the most ambitious games to be released in the Wii U so far. A monument of content, exploration and complexity, this is a technically staggering work with visually breathtaking landscapes and the potential to spend literally hundreds of hours in its main and secondary missions. The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes follows the footsteps of Four Swords Adventures and brings forth a very well designed multiplayer experience, whether local or online, and a significant degree of challenge, even for experienced players. While it seems odd that a Zelda title dispenses with the eponymous princess and with Link, Tri Force Heroes does its job in an irrepressible manner.

Unfortunately, the overall impression is that its mechanics are far too repetitive and its level design is flawed, which alongside an irregular frame rate contribute to make this a frustrating and unappealing work.

The main mechanics are all there, this time with the additional factor of online multiplayer, which can lead to intense moments of bedlam across territories.
