Well, I was fooled by the enthusiastic announcements. Blades of Fire revolves around mediocrity. Sometimes it rises above them, sometimes it scrubs the bottom with its nose.

If it weren't for technical problems, we could talk about a timeless production. Unfortunately, the bugs drag the rating down a bit. However, this does not change the fact that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl lifts the burden of expectations and is a worthy continuation for which we have had to wait so long.

For the newcomer, Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition will be brutal, especially when juxtaposed with the several-year-old Worms WMD. The re-release will be appreciated by fans of the original installment, who finally got a console release with nothing to complain about.

Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a pleasant surprise. The changes made to the gameplay allowed the game to gain new life. The visuals are stunning, and if it weren't for the technical flaws, we would be dealing with a great title. And yes, it is “only” a very good game.

Ultimately, it's hard for me to believe not only that I just played a Ubisoft game. It's also hard for me to believe just how much I liked Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. This is not a good game. This is an excellent title, one of the best in its genre, and if it's not a candidate for the game of the year, it should certainly be nominated as one of the biggest surprises, but from the pleasant category.
Lords of the Fallen is a good game with some interesting ideas that falls short in some (really important for the genre) areas. If someone made me choose the best soulslike of 2023, I would lean towards Lies of P.

Immortals of Aveum is a perfect game for a subscription service. It has its flaws, but most of them can be easily eliminated in the future. However, I can't shake the feeling that this game has been left for dead even though it is really cool.

Total War: Warhammer 3 is a worthy finale to the trilogy. Despite technical issues (that will be fixed at some point), Creative Assembly’s newest title offers an especially good gameplay, even if you are not a big Warhammer fan. And this is not the end, as there will be updates…
