Compile Heart and Idea Factory's games usually stand out somehow while having other weaker aspects. Arc of Alchemist is probably their most well-balanced title in terms of quality. Unfortunately, what stands out here is the lack of quality.

Loop8 is an interesting premise, tied together by a string of ideas with an implementation that ends up destroying any enjoyment the player could have with the title.

Ion Driver shows potential in its mechanics that could be achieved through good production work, but in its current state the title doesn't even meet the minimum requirements to be considered as a commercial product due to its complete lack of content.

Neptunia Virtual Stars is, in short, a title that tries to accomplish too many things and the result is disastrous in every aspect. Fans of the Neptunia series or V-Tubers may find some brief fun moments, but the gameplay has structural issues so serious that it is hard to recommend this title to anyone.

The Caligula Effect 2 is, for better and for worse, a title extremely similar to the original and, consequently, without major advances that could attract a new audience or those who felt disappointed by the original.

SG/ZH suffers from poor gameplay which, frankly, isn't nearly good enough to be enjoyed whether alone or with friends. Tamsoft has a record of creating good action games, however, their knowledge didn't panned out when creating a TPS game.

Akiba's Beat is an ambitious game that, in rare moments, manages to create interesting narrative and characters. However, those are its only redeeming qualities, since the whole rest is terrible. For a better experience with the Akihabara neighbourhood, I'd recommend visiting it in person, playing Akiba's Trip or wait for a next game that might be good. Akiba's Beat just isn't worth anyone's time.

Super Neptunia RPG is a weird game that, even being pretty, doesn't use the strong points of the series in which it is based on. The story and gameplay don't do anything to stand out and the visuals alone aren't enough to carry this entire adventure.

Death end re;Quest is yet another example of interesting concepts poorly executed. The game shows its true potential during certain moments, however, those are the exception, rather than the rule.

Tamsoft has experience with action games, however, Drive Girls needed a lot more polish to become a recommended product. Even among Tamsoft developed games, there are many other games that deserve your time and cash.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood gave the developers the opportunity to bring new things to the series, but the result wasn't as good as many expected. We hope that Wonfenstein 3 reminds us what made the series so special.

Metal Max Xeno has no distinguishing features and there are better RPGs on the PS4 that deserve better attention.

Onee Chanbara Origins lacks a lot in terms of content and its combat has simply not progressed well with the new changes. It's a title that, perhaps, will become a foundation for a special game in the future, but for the moment, I can recommend only to the most dedicated fans of the series.

Dusk Diver 2 isn't necessarily a bad title, but it's not a title to recommend either. The combat has competent mechanics, but its balance makes the player experience go from interesting to tedious in a few hours. It's a game that had big ambitions, but didn't have the polish to carry them out properly.

Shadow Warrior 3 has good combat, but its content is too short to recommend it at launch. It is certainly a title to keep on the radar if you are a fan of this type of FPS.

If you've played all the "Metroidvanias" under the Sun, Aeterna Noctis might be a good recommendation. The game has a solid foundation, but its individual elements don't provide a concise experience as a whole. There is always something unnecessary that tests the player's patience and perseverance beyond what is necessary. In the end, it is a title that will remain in memory not for what it is, but for what it could have been.

Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars is a collaboration that I recommend most to those who are already familiar with both series and want to see how the characters interact with each other. For people who are still curious about the series, I recommend starting with their first titles.

Akiba's Trip: Hellbound & Debriefed is a fun and even impressive title considering its origins, but one that needed more of a remake than a remaster.

Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne is an extremely influential title, but by today's standards it is also an extremely frustrating experience. The HD Remaster is recommended for those who already loved the title and needed a good excuse to replay it, but for the general public it is better to wait for the release of Shin Megami Tensei V.
