While Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight is weak on content, the game does a great job at celebrating the absolutely stellar soundtrack of the third entry in the iconic JRPG series. It's an easy recommendation for hardcore Persona fans and a great reason to dust off that PS Vita one more time. I personally had a blast with the game and am excited to next get my hands on Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight.
I think ultimately, this game will boil down to what each individual player is looking for. My Hero One's Justice falls in between something casual and competitive, a game that can be fun to enjoy with friends or played competitively at a much lesser level than other games in the fighting game community. On that note, I'll leave you with a saying from the greatest hero of all time… PLUS ULTRA!!!
If you haven't played Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, and you're a fan of some of the later titles, this is a great game to try. If you have played the first title before, this may not be a valuable purchase to you as many of the new additions in Complete are minor outside of the visual quality. I think Switch owners will find this title to be the most ideal as grinding when you have some free time is a lot of fun. Overall, I'm happy I got a chance to see this longrunning series' early history with Disgaea 1 Complete, and I look forward to seeing where the games go next.
Ultimately, I'd say Arena of Valor is a great appetizer to the greater world of MOBA games. It's definitely got to be one of the best mobile takes on the genre I've ever played, and there's no doubt I'll boot it up every so often on my Switch. As mentioned, I think having some friends to go in with would help out a lot, especially if you'd like to win. A little coordination goes a long way in this game considering matches move at a lightning fast pace compared to others. It runs well, looks great, and is a whole lot of fun to play on the Nintendo Switch. It'll be interesting to see whether or not the community on Switch will grow in the coming future.
Whether you're new to the genre or a returning veteran, for $13, I think that Steredenn: Binary Stars is a worthy addition to any Switch owners library. The game has a decent amount of modes that ultimately all work together in helping the player learn and progress through the game. So if you've been itching for a cheap shoot'em up game on the handheld-console hybrid, maybe do yourself a favor and check out this one.
Killing Floor: Incursion is easily one of the best VR shooters on PlayStation VR at the moment. There are the occasional missteps you find in VR titles, similar to how games were when motion controls were first introduced with the Wii. It's easy to tell that Tripwire Interactive put a lot of care and effort into this game, and because of that, it's an easy recommendation for any PS VR owner looking for a bloody good time.
Resident Evil: Revelations is a true survival-horror experience with a lot to offer on modern home consoles for only $20. Not everything in the game has made the jump to console perfectly, but if it's anything to go by, I sure as hell enjoyed this game a lot more than Resident Evil 6 (I'll still defend 5 even though it's not my favorite in the series). If Resident Evil 7: Biohazard wasn't enough for you this year, I can't think of a better game to recommend. Resident Evil: Revelations stays true to what made the first handful of Resident Evil titles great while also offering slight moments that delve more into the action oriented titles. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up.
Now that Capcom has ported all of the main entry games to console, I hope that they bring us the Mega Man X games next in a collection. Or maybe even Mega Man Legends 3 — a guy can dream, right? If you haven't played the original six games, I'd say the original Mega Man Legacy Collection is a better buy in terms of quality when compared to this one, but nonetheless, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is still great, and the best way to replay these classics.
Hey! Pikmin is an incredibly fun platformer that's easy to pick up and doesn't take a ton of hours to finish like many games that have come out this year. While I was able to get through the game in a couple of days, reaching 100% completion on each level will take some time and serious dedication. Fans of older Pikmin titles and even Nintendo 3DS owners that have never tried the series before are in for a treat with Hey! Pikmin — I highly recommend it.
Hunt: Showdown's take on PvPvE is elevated by its masterful horror elements, great world design, and addicting gameplay loop.
Tokyo RPG Factory's Oninaki is the studio's most ambitious project yet with characters and themes that are as fascinating as they are tragic.
Bloober Team has done tremendous work in creating rich horror narratives that are as compelling as they are scary.
It's an insect party in the U.S.A.
Fans who have been clamoring for a port of Tales of Vesperia can be put at ease as Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition is one of the series' best.
Blade Strangers finally delivers a conventional fighting game where you can beat up other fighters with Shovel Knight (looking at you Super Smash Bros. Ultimate). I'm not sure I can confidently say the game will do waves in the fighting game community, but I think it'll be enjoyable for all players of all different skill types.

Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition is a worthy addition to any Switch owner’s library, young or old, core gamer or casual. It remains one of the most accessible games in recent memory and it’s just as good as you likely remember it if you took a long break from the game. For $2o dollars, Minecraft on Nintendo Switch should not be missed.
Collection of Mana is the definitive way to play three games that redefined the action RPG genre.
Catherine: Full Body is a complete package that's great for both newcomers and returning fans alike.
